I have received 62 opdivo treatments or about 2.5 years. I had a lot of shrinkage for about 6 months and have one tumor in RLL that has remain stable since then.

Hi, after about a year on opdivo , I had a new 5mm nodule come up. We continued opdivo, next scan it was gone.

Check the health insurance policy he currently has, I have anthem and it covers as out of network.

Hi, I have traveled several times after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Make sure his blood counts are good then help him pack. Does he require oxygen? If so you have to arrange to have it available where he lands, you can't take your tanks with you. If no oxygen then you travel like you always have using precautions not to pick up any bugs along the way. Have a wonderful trip!

Hi, I have no treatable mutations. Your mothers sweating may be due to the morphine. Alot of pain meds can cause sweating.

They normally wait a period of time between chemo and radiation. Mutation testing adverages 2-4 weeks for results. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Have they talked about starting chemo? The quicker they start that the better but they won't do that till the radiation is over. once they get the testing back they can figure out the best plan of treatment. Until then they will follow the standard protocol that is proven to work the best with no mutations. People with worse tumor burden have survived so he can to. Keep us posted

When I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago and still today I had anthem bcbs. I have never had any issue with them approving any scans, treatment, or anything else. Best wishes to you.

Hi, I'm am not on Keytruda but am on Opdivo. There are very similar, they attack the same part of the cancer. With your mother having a high level of PD-1 expression she has a very good chance of this Keytruda doing her some good. Watch her for shortness of breath ( inflammation of the lung lining) upper abdomen pain ( inflammation of the liver) severe diarrhea ( inflammation of the bowel) and report ANY symptoms she has to her doctor. Remember that where ever there is life there is hope. When I started on immunotherapy I had tumors in my right lung, chest, abdomen, right and left adrenals, by my spine, muscle of my butt, and in my breast. I now have 1 tumor in my right lung that has not grown in a year and a half and no other tumors. So she is not to far gone. Best wishes to you and her, keep us posted.
