I haven't posted for awhile but still drop in every week. i joined here in 2007 shortly after I had VATS surgery and my upper left lobe removed. LCSC was my lifeline when I had alot more questions than answers. i know there was a lady named muriel who convinced me to push for adjuvant chemo and that has worked out good so far.

just wondering if any of the old gang is like me just reading and not posting these days.

Hi Bruce,Gosh long time no hear from you you were so missed by everyone here..I am doing really well, found a new girl in my life (Liz) I moved in with her last year,we get on so well. Its all holiday mode with me just now,we bought a motorhome between between us a couple of months ago so we look up UKs weather forecast to find out where the sun is currently shining, then off we go.My daughter has moved into my vacated home in Airdrie also last year, she is about to take out a mortgage on the property,I am selling it to her at a discounted price,to bring it into what she can afford. So at present I have been scouring the internet looking at property to buy in Spain that I can live there for part of the year, ideally to get some winter sun.Liz and I are off to Tenerife for a weeks holiday and house hunt on the 13th of December, however apartments there for our budget are a bit scarce. In January we are off to another Spanish area on the mainland -Torrevieja,the prices there are much lower,so I think I am going to be spoiled for choice for the many properties there for sale.Perhaps you can join me when I have found my property and enjoy a relaxing holiday with Liz and I.

Again great to hear you are still around "live and kicking",looking forward to hearing from you again.

   Best Wishes.

Hi Bruce and Eric. I dont know if you remember me or not. I also joined in 2007 and found this website a treasure. I dont visit much and I really dont remember the last time I posted. It makes me feel guilty because I remember how helpful all the folks were here when I was in some of my darkest days. It has been 10 years now since my dx of nslc stage 2b. My prayers go out to all on this board who are new and overwhelmed with their dx. I hope life has been good to the both of you. It has been for me. Many hardships but hey thats a part of life. Those 3 grandkids I was helping raise at the time and I was so afraid I wouldnt be there for, well one is in his first year of college and his twin sisters are seniors in high school. One was voted homecoming queen 3 weeks ago. If I only had one thing too say to those who are new I would say DONT LOSE HOPE. We dont know what the future holds. Ten years ago I was in the funeral home making plans for my own funeral to save the family a few hardships. I never imagined I would be here 10 years later. Bruce ar e you getting ready for those cold Canadian winters. I still remember you showing a thermastat that showed -30.Brrrr. May God Bless you all. My prayers are with you.

Hey Eric and mike

Great to hear that you are still living a fast paced life Eric. Spain sounds like a great place for a get away.

Congratulations on the grand kids growing up mike. I walked my daughter down the aisle in September. During her thank you speech she told everyone the story how 8 years ago we didn't think I would be here to walk her down the aisle. I think almost everyone there had a tear in their eye by the time she was finished.

No -30's yet mike but we did get a few snow flurries this afternoon. I remember back in the day we would all jump on the old yellow bus to get away from the cold. Lol

Great to hear you both are doing good

Hi Cindy

I am not sure where that old yellow bus is but it is getting chilly here in the north. Might be time to get going for a tour again and pick up members along the way.

Hey Randy, Katie

I'm doing good and just staying busy.

I haven't seen Alex in awhile Randy and no I don't watch Ice Road Truckers. LOL There is another show similar to that being filmed in Yellowknife as well. That one is living on a houseboat. Are you still working hard in the food industry?

Katie I read a little about you every now and then on here. Still doing alot of public speaking and traveling? How are the kids ?
