  1. My sister is on a chemo cocktail of taxol/carbo and she is unusually sick. The nurses are stumped about why she is so sick and what to do for her. She has been going in for iv fluids to rehydrate. Does anyone have a suggestion?
  2. Thank you for your words of support and encouragement.
  3. Hello, My name is Mary in I live in Virginia. My father died of Lung Cancer in 1977 at the age of 53. I am the youngest of eight. My mother is also deceased. My 47 year old sister was diagnosed in January with a tumor in her upper right lung. She has been staged 3B. She currently is receiving radiation 5x a week for 6 weeks; aswellas, chemo every Thursday. They are using a taxol/carbo cocktail. The doctors will reevaluate after the six week treatment. My sister is married and has three boys: 18, 15, and 13. They are great kids!! My family is very concerned for my sister and "on edge".
  4. My sister is on the same treatment. She just had her third chemo yesterday and has been doing radiation for three weeks. Last weekend she was real sick. She went back to the Oncologist on Monday and they gave her IV fluids plus the meds she usually gets before chemo. That helped greatly and she plans to go back this weekend for more fluids. Mary
  5. Peg, Cancer can be a rollercoaster. Have faith, there will be an upswing soon.
