  1. Hi everyone, I have just posted on the SCLC board about my dearest mum who is still going strong 6 years after being diagnosed with extensive SCLC. She had chemotherapy in 2007 and also had a breast cancer diagnosis later that year! Lots of love and best wishes to you and your loved ones who are fighting this and please, please ,please never give up! God bless xxx
  2. Hi everyone, it's been a looooong time since I've been on this board but I have not forgotten the help and support I received here. My update on my mum is long overdue so apologies but we have been off enjoying things. Mum continues to amaze her doctors and also us. She is still a little unsteady and gets out of breath easily BUT she is still here and enjoying life. I can't have imagined this when she was first diagnosed and the doc gave her 'weeks' as the prognosis. I hope this gives you and your loved ones some real hope and my message is never give up! That's not to say the journey has been easy as there have been many ups and downs. I wish you all lots of luck on your own journeys and hope to see more and more longer term survivors of SCLC. God bless xxx

  12. Hi Colleen, Welcome to the board. I hope you find much comfort and support and that your treatment is a success. Jack is beautiful and your hubby is a diamond !! We are here whenever you need us God bless Debbie
  13. Steph, I am so sorry to hear about your mum. My heart really goes out to you. With regard to the hospice decision - there are many things to consider e.g can you cope at home ? can other family members help out? I hear really positive things about hospice at home but also away from home so I think the standard of care is much the same at both. It also depends on what your mum might have preferred and also what you and your family think is best. I am praying that you find strength at this difficult time. God bless you & your mum Debbie
