Hi everyone! I too am in shock from the whole disaster. I have traveled that bridge many many times in my life, as I grew up in Mpls and it is awful seeing the main artery of our 2 major cities dumped in the Mississippi and the devastion all around. I have 2 Nephews and Niece that would have been commuting about that time but unforunately cell phone communication has not been good. I am trusting with god's will that no news is good news. My heart and prayers go out to everyone involved. It truly gives me a great feeling that despite the worlds conflicts that so many people came to help unconditionally. Hugs & Prayers to all! Rhonda PS Happy Birthday Donna!!!!

Terrie...Congrats on the good news. I will be "set free" in July which will be my 5 yr anniversary!! I am excited but also afraid I love my onc and he keeps me sain every 6 months so the "dependancy of the ct every six months" will go away and I'm not so sure how that will go LOL. but I always have the board to go to for support But....just the fact that it has been 5 years and I'm still here is the best feeling in the world! 13. Hi All..... Sorry for not posting sooner, I think Donna G was posting too. Connie's surgery did not go as planned. The drs could not remove the lung tumor safely from the chest area due to the fact that it is on the back sife of the lung. Because of the blood thinners that Connie was on they decided not to remove the atrium tumor either due the the risk of bleeding. SOOOO. in 8-10 weeks Connie will have surgery to remove the atrium tumor and then 8-10 weeks after that she will under go the lung tumor surgery. Connie's hubby has kept the explanation easy to understand Donna G is an RN and was there yesterday and will have a more detailed explantion than this one from Maurie. Poor Connie, my heart aches for her and I pray that she recovers quickly from yesterday's "surgery". I know she appreciates ALL of the love & support from all of us! Still keep saying many prayers! Hugs & Prayers! Rhonda

Good Morning Everyone..... Well as Donna G posted earlier, Connie was at group last night...our "fearless leader" was giggling as always, we spent most of our time crying and trying to sort thru our own mortality, Connie has been our rock for 8 years and we never though she would get this nasty stuff back again. Connie has a very very positive attitude and she will beat this stuff. Please continue to keep her(and all of us) in your prayers. Either Donna or myself will continue to keep you all posted. Hugs and Prayers to all of you! Rhonda

Hi everyone! I am a good friend of Connie's and she ask me to post for her. As you probably know Connie had a CT Scan on 8/8 well her results came back not so favorable yesterday, she has a tumor in her right upper lung and a questionable area around the atrium. She is having a PET Scan as I type this and an Ecko Cardiogram after that. I know how we all love Connie and she is such a great support to all of us. Please keep Connie and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she heads down this ugly road again. She is keeping the very positive attitude she has and is optimistic that this will treated aggresively. She has great doctors and she is a fighter! Hugs and Prayers Connie!
