  1. Since my CT scan after taxotere was inconclusive, but showed hazy areas which may be tumors, I have enrolled in a study which will document the effects of Gleevac and Gembicitibene in combination to fight recurrent sclc tumors. I'll keep posting here to let people here know what's happening and how it is working. So far after two treatments of Gemcitibine and 5 straight days of Gleevac, my side effects have been mild. Leo
  2. Sorry about that diagnosis, I have personally never seen anything like that. My experience with radiology and lab diagnoses is that they put down every possibility as a CYA, so that no one can come back later and accuse them of missing something. So hopefully, thats whats going on with this diagnosis, although I am sure your oncologist will want further tests. My prayers are with you bud! Leo
  3. Best of Luck. All we can do is get the best most aggressive treatments, then wait and pray. Jim's strength will come back. Taxotere is, well... TAXING! My prayers are with you.
  4. She will gather strength and improve in the coming weeks. Good luck and God bless.
  5. I have been experiencing swelling of my left leg from the calf down since Dec 2003. This is due to the chemo drug (taxotere) which lists fluid retention and swelling as a side effect. The chemo also caused DVTs in my left leg, also contributing to the swelling. Check on the internet or with the oncologist for side effects of the drugs she is taking. Remember, everyone's case is at least slightly different!
  6. Just want to introduce myself to the bulletin board.
