sjj Posted November 4, 2003 Share Posted November 4, 2003 So glad to find this forum......I have cancer in my lungs, probably a metastasis, but we don't know from where. I had breast cancer, DCIS, about 11 years ago but after a biopsy of the lung cancer we don't know if it is breast or bronchiolo-alveolar since the tests we inconclusive. It has been diagnosed as an unknown primary. I was on Femara for 3 months. It did nothing. On Taxol for one year with good results. Had 6 months off and now I'l on Iressa. The first CT scan showed the cancer has not grown. I had the typical side effects; rash, achne and some diarrhea and incredibly dry skin, but after a few weeks they all went away. I feel great and exercise regularly. I've changed my diet to no red meat and mostly vegetables! The next scan is early January.
