New, Educator Not A Patient

I want to be very upfront that I work for an oncology lab, as commercial trainer, but it is not my intention to sell anyone anything.  I am not a doctor and I do not have a clinical background.  I have known personal loss to lung cancer as well as those still fighting.  This very complex disease has stigma, confusion and more innovation than any other cancer type we currently diagnose. 

If you will allow me, it is my intention to learn from your questions, sharing and your emotions to better educate myself and our employees, so that we may in turn, educate clinicians and pathologists.  If you ask me questions, I will give you unbiased, honest answers, but I will not market or promote in any way.  If I am asked to leave a discussion or the site, I will respect your wishes immediately.
