  1. I'm so excited!!! Can't wait !!!
  2. I really would have loved to have been a nurse. My aunt was an RN and she and my uncle offered to pay my way through nursing school at the University of Tennessee. But, silly me didn't think it was something I would want to do...when I had the opportunity. Now, I would love to have that degree and be able to help people.
  3. I'm so proud of you, Becky Snowflake!!! You go get 'em, Tiger!!!
  4. Let's start writing on of our juicy and exciting group stories, since we haven't done this for a while . I think this time, we should use titles of television shows in our paragraphs. I'll begin. When I left the Office Today I walked down the street and who should I met up with but "Cagney and Lacey". They told me that they were feeling Young and Restless and that they were going to a Shindig at Peyton Place but they got "Lost". They wanted directions but the only people they met were a couple of "Desperate Housewives", who were looking for Cheers but while there were in "Boston, Legal" problems arose and they called "Matlock" to defend them. They had to call a "Taxi" to take them to a Little House on the Prairie where they were surprised to see Texas Walker" and his pup "Lassie and The Brady Bunch".
  5. What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
  6. Well, goulash definitely comes to mind, as it seems everything has been thrown together and stirred up, with lots of spice thrown in over the past year...lol!
  7. Share one food item that best describes the last year of your life. (example: “frozen pizza” because I did a 180-degree turn this year, or “cinnamon roll” because it had lots of twists and turns but overall was pretty sweet)
  8. And, speaking of senior moments: 'WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?' The irate customer calling the newspaper office loudly demanded, wanting to know where her Sunday edition was. 'Ma'am,' said the newspaper employee, 'today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on Sunday.' There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition. as she was heard to mutter, 'Well, shoot... so that's why no one was at church today.'
  9. What is your favorite way to eat popcorn? (buttered, cheese, caramel...)
  10. Name 3 ways you keep yourself warm in the house....... 1. 2. 3.
  11. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?
  12. A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire. No further studies are expected.
  13. Subject: What is old A lady goes to the bar on a cruise ship and orders a Scotch with two drops of water. As the bartender gives her the drink she says, 'I'm on this cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday and it's today...' The bartender says, 'Well, since it's your birthday, I'll buy you a drink. In fact, this one is on me.' As the woman finishes her drink, the woman to her right says, 'I would like to buy you a drink, too.' The old woman says, 'Thank you. Bartender, I want a Scotch with two drops of water.' 'Coming up,' says the bartender As she finishes that drink, the man to her left says, 'I would like to buy you one, too.' The old woman says, 'Thank you. Bartender, I want another Scotch with two drops of water.' 'Coming right up,' the bartender says. As he gives her the drink, he says, 'Ma'am, I'm dying of curiosity. Why the Scotch with only two drops of water?' The old woman replies, 'Sonny, when you're my age, you've learned how to hold your liquor. Holding your water, however, is a whole other issue.'
  14. Name 3 things you want to accomplish in your lifetime:
  15. 1. I spend too much time there. 2. I spend too much time there. 3. I spend too much time there. Seriously, I can log on for just one thing and that one thing will remind me of another thing and I end up spending hours surfing when I should be accomplishing other things.
  16. Name three things you dislike about the internet.
  17. T'was The Month After Christmas T’was the month after Christmas, and all through the house, Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The cookies I'd nibbled, the chocolate I'd taste at the holiday parties had gone to my waist. When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber), I'd remember the marvellous meals I'd prepared; the gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared, the wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese and the way I never said, "No thank you, just please." As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt and prepared once again to do battle with dirt... I said to myself, as only I can, "You can't spend all winter, disguised as a man!" So, away with the last of the sour cream dip. Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip. Every last bit of food that I like must be banished till all the additional pounds they have vanished. I won't have a cookie, not even a lick. I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick. I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie. I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry. I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore... But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot. Happy New Year to all, and to all a good diet. author unknown

  19. No, Becky Snowflake....don't think we have to worry about food, housing or climate for this fantasy...lol. I would love to have a big cat of some kind. Maybe a jaguar or a cougar would be neat. I love watching big cats.

  22. Snowball fights, hot cocoa by the fire, and sleigh rides... What's your favorite thing about winter?
  23. Amanda, I am so very sorry for your loss. For such a very long time, Don has been a real friend to many of us. I will always remember how hard he fought his battle against cancer. I would always smile when reading his posts, as he never gave in or gave up his fight and was always ready to try anything new to beat this terrible disease. On many occasions, when I was feeling really down, I would get a nice little pick-me-up note from Don and I would feel better. He will be so missed on this board by so very many.
  24. I love the Budweiser commercials with the Clydesdale horses Like Becky Snowflake, I love the Purina commercials with the Marley & Me scenes I now love the football commercial featuring the song "You Had A Bad Day"
