  1. Madam, I know the feeling. I am sitting with my husband now in our den because he has trouble breathing and he told me he was scared. He won't sleep in the bed because it's too hard to breathe. He sleeps off and on at times. It's a good thing that I don't require much sleep. There just comes a time when you can just be there with him and that's all you can do. Take care. Beth
  2. Welcome Chime. My husband was diagnosed with squamous cell in 2012. He had surgery and six chemos. If you dad can stand the chemo effects it would probably help. My husband's cancer has recurred several times. It's a long battle, but he has survived 4 years.
  3. My name is Beth Leonhardt and I am a caregiver for my husband, Kent, who is fighting squamous cell lung cancer. He is on oxygen and has fought the disease since 2012. He recently took 30 radiation treatments with 6 chemos of carbo & taxil and has developed radiation pneumonitis. He was hospitalized twice because he kept desaturating. The doctors finally prescribed 60 mg of steroids. He is feeling better but it is rough. Has anyone had the radiation pneumonitis?
  4. My husband Kent diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in right lobes. He had 2 lobes removed in 2012?? He went through chemo. One year later he has been diagnosed with a masastised tumor in left lung. Going to Duke to look at our options. Any advise? Thanks
