Nancy,
I'm so sorry you got bad news. My mom also received radiation and Zometa for bone mets. Best of luck with your treatment.

Happy Birthday, Val! Wish I had some words of wisdom for you. Nothing is the same without our moms, and I don't guess it ever will be. Wishing you nothing but the best today and always.
-
Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the update.

I'm so sorry to hear about Rachel.

Addie,
I sure hope they can switch you over to prednisone and that you get some relief (and sleep) soon!
-
Addie,
I'll be hoping and praying for the best possible outcome. Keep us posted.

Crud. I've read this several times and have been trying to muster up the strength to post. I really hate to hear this news, but remember that there are undoubtedly several options available to you. And remember that there are several people on the board doing just fine with brain mets. I can only imagine what you must be going through, but know that we are all here for you the best we can be. Let us know when you have more details and a plan.

Peggy,
I've been out of town this weekend and just read your post. I am so sorry to hear this news, but having been through it with my mom recently, I am glad that Don is no longer suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I hope and pray they can turn things around. Thanks for the update. I rushed downstairs first thing this morning to see if there was any news.
Take care,

Well, I can think of several four letter words to say, but that won't help any. Just know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers. I really hope that we see some shrinkage with the CPT-11 and carboplatin.

Sorry to hear this news. I'll be praying extra hard.

Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way...

Thanks for the update. I hope they can get things straightened out really soon so you and Don can head back home.

I'm sorry to hear this news. Hopefully it really is just a small bump in the road. Sending prayers that you are right back where you want to be really soon.

Fay,
I, too, have been thinking about this one for a while. I don't really have the right words to say, so I'll just say that my thoughts and prayers are with you. It really stinks that you have to fight this beast again, but I know you will fight a good fight. Best of luck to you in whatever remains ahead.

Leslie,
I'm saying prayers for a good report!

I believe she has colon cancer that spread to her lungs.

I'm so happy to hear this news. It seems we can certainly use a little good news around here!

Nancy,
My mom had bone mets in several different places. When her cancer returned after the first round of chemo, she also did irinotecan and cisplatin. As far as the bone mets go, they did radiation for the ones that caused her pain. Sorry I don't have more information, but I am wishing you the best.
