  1. My wife had the same chemo her last year and it was very effective. It will take a full day to administer the three chemos, plus nausea medicine and some other items that go with the package. We always took snacks with us and something to read (also they had a TV to watch) and I went out for lunch to bring back sandwiches. Fruit smoothies are a good thing -- easy to digest, very tasty and full of calories. Don

    Proud of you, Randy.
  3. Hi, Connie! Glad you posted and let us know. Fran was so loved here. I can relate because my Lucie died in September and her 70th birthday was March 15. I also thought she would have made it to then. Our family got together to celebrate her life and to share memories. It was good for us all. So I am glad you had a party for Frank. Blessings. Don
  4. Hi, and welcome. My wife was 65 when she was diagnosed with Stage IV NSCLC. She was expected to live only 9 months, but she lived 4 years and helped many others. She was a nonsmoker. Hang in there with your dad. We are here for you. Don
  5. Welcome, Nova! Let us know how we may support you. Don
  6. Welcome here! Let us know how we may support you through this. Don
  7. Larry, I think no. 03 is "Route 66". I got them all but No. 11, which I think you gave the correct answer, "draft cards". I had put "bras"! Don
  8. Welcome, Jimbo! My son and I will be vacationing in Hawaii May 12-19th. Aloha! Hang loose! Don
  9. The quiet one. I can always get a word in edgewise with the talker. Don

    Mistress....

This is definitely fiction, because in a divorce the wife would get all that stuff anyway!
  11. I called my MIL "Mom". We were very close, and I called my own mother "Mother". My FIL died before I met Lucie, so I did not get to choose anything. I probably would have called him "Cage" (his nickname). I called my father "Dad". Don
  12. It's relatively easy for me to rethink something when I have more data, more information. Don
  13. Randy, so very sorry. Two losses so close together. My heart is with you. Don

    Good for you, Lili!

    The Gift

I was at a church workshop today when, during a break, a young man approached me and said, "I wanted you to know my 5-year old daughter still talks about Lucie". I said, "You will never know how much of a gift that is for me to hear. She touched many lives, even that of a 5-year old girl!" I am truly blessed. Don
