So sorry Nick, To the extreme opposite, my moms hubby never took the phone out of my moms name(she died 16 yrs ago) so everytime he calls here her name comes up on the caller ID UGGH

The first thing is don't look at statistics. Your Dad is an individual case and stats mean nothing. Sounds like his doc has a good plan and positive attitude in place. Please be sure to take care of yourself thru this, you will need to be strong both physically and mentally to be able to help your Dad, so it needs to be a priority to care for yourself. We understand.
