  1. My treatment has been cancelled for the week. White blood cell count is very low 1.32, was 6.09 last week. I will miss 4 days of radiation and may have to miss chemo treatment next week. I am kinda worried.... I have only had one round of chemo (3 days) and 9 days of radiation. Is this common and will this happen all the time? I am not feeling ill other than side effects of treatment. And of course the anxiety and depression that comes with the territory. Not to mention that my hair is falling out now Doc says to stay away from big crowds while count is down so looks like it will be a small party for Christmas. Wishing all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Healthier Happy New Year............ God Bless us All...
  2. I was staged at limited sclc on Monday, 4x3 cn. mass encasing the bronchial tube upper right lobe, lymphnode enlarge 2x1.5 cn. on trichea and metasis to the lower right lobe 1x2 cn. started first round of chemo wed, will have treatment 3 days and off 3 weeks. will recieve 4500 rads of radiation 30 days to the lung and then 15 treatments of pci. Has any one else had this same treatment? Feeling a little tired but not sick, taking kytril, ativan and decradon. Thank you to all who acknowledged my first post to welcome me to the group, I agree it is not good place to be, but nice to know there are people who care and are going through or have already been through this horrible disease. I feel so much better hearing of all the survivors. hope, prayers and miracles to us all. [/img] Wanda
  3. Will start treatment Wednesday, 2 masses in right lung and enlarged lymphnode on trichea. Radition daily for 6 weeks to lung, then three weeks to brain for preventive measures, chemo 3 daysthis week then off 3 weeks? This all started feeling like a pulled muscle in my shoulder around the end of august, found disease nov. 24th and staged it yesterday. Trying to keep a positive attitude, sometimes the tears just come. My husband is trying to be very supportive, but I can see the worry and he just doesn't know what to say.
