My wife is 70 years old and is in hospice care with advanced stage IV small cell carcinoma lung cancer. She is suffering from labored breathing. Hospice has recently delivered a oxygen generator and she is breathing oxygen. Her oxygen level is high (96%- 98%), but she has labored breathing and infrequently spits up tiny amounts of blood.
She is not comfortable. This is all new to us, but I heard that hospice will work to make the patient comfortable.
Any suggestions to someone new at this.
