Thanks for asking Tom. It, unfortunately was a mistake. No harm no foul.I'm sure it was thourghly discussed.I developed a case of thrush. I had severe hick ups and could no burp for a couple of days. Very annoying. My Oncologist set me up with medicines to relieve everything.This week has been great! Ready to go again. I seem to be tolerating everything pretty well so far.

I was in for my sixth infusion of round one chemo yesterday. I had maybe thirty or forty minutes to finish up. I had two drips going. One Emend and I'm not sure what th other bag was. It had about a third of left over. Anyway. The smaller bag ran empty and nooner had noticed. There were two of us in chairs and three techs hanging out at their workstation. Finally one of them came and woo this one's dry. I see an air bubble I need to clear. Anyway, I started having severe chest pains and it radiating into my jaw. I have coronary artery disease and I've had a heart attack. So they stopped the drips and sent me to the ER. I spent the next six and a ha F hours waiting to get Ana EkG and two blood tests. I had to cancel my radiation treatment, which was to be a lengthy re-gridding. My sister is a Mir's and was very concerned that the Emend was not mixed with something at that point and could hav not only been lethal, but could cause permanent kidney and heart damage. I try to family members advice with a grain of salt because they too are emotionally involved.Ny ideas?

I wanted to thank you all for your positive support! I made it through the third day of therapies relatively well. Some discomfort, but not bad so far. My initials al diagnosis was adeno carcinoma in the left lower lobe. One single tumorand the two closest lymph nodes on either side of the bronchus? Also, on the initial pet scan, an area lite up in my neck. After further imaging by my radiation Oncologist, she was not satisfied with the imaging and they did not image my brain with contrast, she conferred with the radiologist that there is no lymph node in that area and it was actually a muscle that was involved in my recent cervical spinal fusion which was done Anteriorally. My Oncologist has been on vacation, so he's not aware of the findings. The primary tumor is less than 3 centimeters at it's widest and the two lymph nodes are no larger than 2 centimeters. His initial staging was three b. I'm thinking that perhaps the staging will be lower in number with the exclusion of the neck. Anyway, I'm encouraged. My radiation oncologist is a bulldog! She is a perfectionist. She is having her ct scanner replaced at the moment, so she had to send me elsewhere for the scans. They imaged in grids too large for her liking, but accurate enough to get started. She is going to scan me again next week on her machine with her narrower margins. She's not going to charge me for scans! She told me that my tumors are small compared o what she usually treats! This has been an uplifting day for me. I wish everyone strength in body, mind and spirit.

After some research, I found that it would not be something for me. It seems that Chaga should be avoided if you take blood thinners or you take diabetic medicines. There is a lot of research being done on chaga and it might prove to be useful down the road for some.

I have given some information on "Chagall" tea made from the Chagall mushroom which is harvested from birch trees. It's been used in Asian cult rise for thousands of years. Has anyone researched this mushroom or actually tried it as a supplement?

I started treatment today with chemotherapy. Six days on, four weeks off. Rinse and repeat. Radiation Five days a week for approx. 30 treatments. Both the oncologist and Radiation Dr both used the cure word. Lower left love and two closest lymph nodes are affected. I am 60 and play a lot of tennis. Any advice is appreciated.
