  1. I found any discomfort didnt start until id had a few infusions and the the biggest problems were nausea (but never vomited ) but the tablets they gave me helped heaps and constipation was chronic for a while but these problems came regular at same time of cycle so i learnt quickly how to handle these things with regular supplements and was told my hair would thin but not all fall out and this didnt start happening until the last 3 infusions and kept coming out for 6 weeks after finishing ....but growing back now

  4. Welcome here sherryz and we have all been in your shoes so understand how you feel and theres a lot of long term survivors on here so when you know what you have and a treatment plan others will chip in and give some advice and support as i got when i joined and im now NED which means no evidence of disease and you can be too ... 5. Hi i was a 17 yrs of not smoking 61 yr old and i also had no symptoms and mine adenocarcinoma was picked up during a scan that was checking for any recurrence of a sarcoma cancer that id had 5 yrs ago and i had the left bottom lobe taken and a wedge of another nodule followed by 4 months of chemo because 7 out of 20 lymph nodes were positive ...ive had scans done on completion of the chemo and all is clear and next scans booked for 6 months time so hang in there because we are survivors and can and do get through it Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

    Future scans

When i was first diagnosed they said it was at a curable stage and then the results after surgery showed clear borders but some lymph nodes showed positive so then chemo followed so im thinking because i was clear in my ct scans from neck to pelvis that there was no new growths from the lymph nodes but like everyone its an anxious time till next scan Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

Thankyou Lauren and brenda and im so thankful to be part of this community because its full of positive feedback and it gives you hope during the treatment and on an emotional point of view thats so important and only people going through this can truly understand the under spoken fear we live with each day so its great to have somewhere to go to get some hope and courage .. 10. Debbie65 ...i had my left lower lobe removed in jan this year and have finished 4 rounds of chemo and have just recently had my ct scan results which showed i have NO cancer anywhere but i do have some fluid where the lobe once was but the oncologist said thats normal to get some fluid there and if it doesnt cause any symptoms then leave it alone and the symptoms would be shortness of breathe and some pain from the pressure of the fluid and a cough so im wondering if this could be your problem ? And they can drain fluid away if its causing you discomfort Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

  18. I had my lower left lung removed with incision the size of yours and i was in hospital for 5 days with a drainage tube for 4 of those days and the pain isnt fun but with regular pain relief it was not too bad and once at home i could sleep on my sides because that hurt for about 2 weeks but after that it was tolerable to sleep either side and i kept up with a ventolin puffer and the breathing was easier but havent needed it since those first two weeks and that was back in january this year so i hope your recovery goes as well for you ...stay positive .. 21. Last chemo treatment i had to have a magnesium infusion because i was very low and i was changed to a different recipe of chemo before i started because being t2 diabetic they said the original plan can cause neuropathy sharp pains and it wouldve most likely affected me .. 22. I get the steroid meds after my double bag of chemo and after that its maxalon or ondansatron for nausea but both dont seem to cover it well but now im on my 2 week break things usually settle down untill the next dose Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  23. Tom just wondering if your nausea got worse the further along the chemo trail ? I felt pretty good for the first couple of months but now taking anti nausea tablets more often and my hair has thinned more in the last 2 weeks and i have 2 more doses of chemo left to go and lucky for me ive had no pain like you did . 24. I hear about the stage of lung cancer but dont understand if there is a grade to it or just under nsclc adenocarcinoma stage 3a... I had a sarcoma cancer biopsy from my leg 5 years ago and it was a high grade tumour which was treated with 5 weeks of radiotherepy and 2 surgeries ...ive never thought to ask the oncologist this question ...
