  1. Hi there, Um, it is hard to tell what it could be caused from. My mother had lost feelings in her legs, and it was due to cancer on her spine. I am NOT saying that could be what it is in this case, that was just my experience. Please keep us posted on your mothers test result. Bless you.
  2. Hello, Also a good song to consider would be Hero by Mariah Carey. That reminds me of my mom when she was fighting. Thanks and good luck with your website. There's a hero If you look inside your heart You don't have to be afraid Of what you are There's an answer If you reach into your soul And the sorrow that you know Will melt away Chorus And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you'll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you It's a long road When you face your world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold You can find love If you search within yourself And the emptiness you felt Will disappear Chorus Lord knows Dreams are hard to follow But don't let anyone Tear them away Hold on There will be tomorrow In time You'll find the way Chorus
  3. Hello, My mother also had WBR. She also slept alot and balance can be a side effect. However, it worked at the time. Once she completed her treatments, she seemed to go back to normal. At times she seemed out of it, but I think in my moms case, it was the cancer that made her that way. It may be best to speak to the Dr about that. Good luck to your mom.
  4. Hey there, I just wanted to let you know, that my mother had brain mets and they zapped them and they were gone. It worked for her. It might work for you. Good luck...continue to fight! You have alot to live for. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

    Dean?

Hello, I just wanted to let you know, it looks like he posted yesterday (march 7) under family members.....He replied to a question about Hospice and aggressive treatment.
  6. Hi Larry, My mother had brain mets and mets to the spine. I cannot answer any questions about the driving because, when the spine mets occured she couldn't walk at all. The only effect she had from brain mets were headaches. Sorry I couldn't be more helpfull.
  7. Thank you for sharing.....It sounds like I got ripped off huh? Oh well, Everyone is searching for hope, it's too bad someone is taking advantage of it. Thanks again for your posts.
  8. Hello, Has anyone heard of Dr. Lorraine Day, if so please share your thoughts on her method. Thanks!
  9. Hello, ABSOLUTELY have her brain checked as much as possible. I know that there is limited amount of radation they can give to the brain. But...in my mothers case, she was NED for 1.5 months, it came back in her brain & spine. She only lived 2 more months. MRI's are expensive and they are limited to how often they can give them. When it is your life or a loved one, money is not an object. You have to remain proactive in getting an MRI or the ONC may not bring it up. I know they do all they can, but it is better to know what is going on then to have it sneak up on you. SC is fast......you just have to try to stay faster. GL to you. God Bless!
  10. My mom had brain mets. She was never dizzy that I know of. She could take of herself normally. Although I imagine it is different for different people. ----- sorry I can't be more of a help.
