    my son terry

My son Terry passed away sunday morning from a pulmonary embolism. He did not have the surgery. He died very sudden and did get to see his son(who traveled from Va) the night before. I am not ready to lose my son but value every thing we did together in the last year and half. I am having 2 white doves left loose at the funeral. One for his wife and one for him. My grandson(his son) will let his moms dove fly and I will let the other one for my son fly home. His dad, my X did not have time to come up from N.C. to see him alive and that is his loss he will have to deal with. I have his memories. Grammajay ps we had an autopsy done so we could see what caused his death as 3 doctors said he probably had another year.
  2. My son terry was diag. 04/04 and has had numerous chemo and radiation. He has had his lungs drained about 3 times. He is now in hospital with severe fluid in tummy. Have any of you ever heard of the fluid being in the tummy? Drained 6 liters on wed. 1 1/2 liter on friday. Surgery tomorrow to instal valve in stomach to drain and recycle into blood stream at shoulder area. Has any one ever heard of this drainage being done this way? Jay (Terrys Mom and caregiver) His wife passed on last oct,2004 with md.
  3. Thanks for all your kind words. I feel every day we have together is a bonus day. Jay
  4. My son age 47 diag. in april 2004 with stage 4 lung cancer. inoperable. Had chemo and radiation with major shrinkage of left lung tumor. We thought we were into remission but the lining of the lung filled up with fluid and had to be drained. hosp. 5 days. He has now started chemo again. It is dinorelbine and gemcitadine ( spelling is probably wrong) and next day after chemo gets a shot of Nuelasta. Has any one else had these drugs used. We just got back from 2 weeks of quality time in florida. He really enjoyed his self. I'm afraid to let him out of my sight. Jay (grammajay)
