  1. Tom, There isn’t much in the world of lung cancer treatment I haven’t experienced. Everything short of actual surgery on my lungs. Initial diagnosis is metastatic pulmonary adenocarcinoma, negative for genetic alterations involving EGFR, ALK, and ROS1. PD-L1 tumor proportion score is 0%. Treatments so far include six cycles of carboplatin/weekly paclitaxel/bevacizumab, followed by 11 cycles of Alimta/bevacizumab, followed by maintenance bevacizumab through September 2016, and since February 2017 has been on nivolumab immunotherapy. I can offer support and answer questions about these treatments if there are any. Kerry
  2. My name is Kerry. I am a 65 year old man. I was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer four years ago. It was discovered by finding a golf ball size brain tumor that was causing me some significant problems. Large tumor was removed by surgery and two smaller brain tumors removed via gamma knife. The discovery of the brain tumors lead to the finding of several liaisons in my right lung and subsequent diagnosis of lung cancer. Since surgery and initial diagnosis of lung cancer I have had 20 weeks of chemotherapy followed by approximately a year and a half of maintenance chemotherapy. I am now receiving nivolumab every two weeks and have been for the past ten months. I have also received five radiation treatments to remove the largest liaison in my lung. I get a CT scan of the chest and thorax along with a MRI of my brain every three months. So far we are still going strong. Kerry
