  6. Hi all, My father-in-law passed away peacefully on 20 March 05 without regaining consciousness. It took him less than 3 months and he is gone. Is really heart wreaking to me and my family to lose him but maybe is good for him not to suffer so much. I would like to thank all of you for your kind words althought I am a very new comer in this forum. I didnt know there are so many warm hearted people out here and I am glad to have known you. Many thanks once again from a helpless person from Singapore.
  7. Hi, before I go on, I am sorry for the wrong posting made earlier. I have just visited my father-in-law and today his condition has deteriorated further. His leg arm is no longer mobile and he is unable to recognise people. Doctor started him on tube feeding and as a caregiver I feel terribly sad to see him suffering. I know there is no cure to this illness and the only thing we can do is to give him lots of comfort. I really don't want to see him suffer so much and sometimes I do hope there is a magic wand somewhere. If only magic can make him stay alive ....
  8. Thank you very much for replying. I will post in newcomers column.
  9. I am new in this forum. My father-in-law is in his stage 4 lung cancer which has already spread to his bones and also has head tumor. Now he is in hospital and looks like his hands and legs are also swollen. Hands quite cold and a little yellow. Please can someone tell me how long more can he last? i am scared at the thought of him going away.
