Here I go. I was diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC in March of this year and began treatments at MDANDERSON in April. Today I finished treatment 11 I do treatments every 3 weeks. The last two times they have held the chemo and only have received the keytruda immunotherapy. Because of my GFR levels and creatine levels My doctor assured me it would be ok not to do chemo and just do keytruda this time. She said the are getting very good results from the keytruda. She said there are people that have paved the five year survival rate. My question to whoever can help me is... When did they start using keytruda in NSCLC patients?? I did not think it had been five years. Does anyone know??
