How appropriate that candles were burned across the country on Friday for Cathy. My sister loved candles and always had them burning in the house. You have touched our lives in ways that we never thought possible. Know that this website has been a light in our lives for months. Know that the love, support, insight and wisdom you shared each and every day helped to brighten our day even in the darkest of times. Words can not begin to express or graditude and thanks for all the well wishes you have sent. While we are all incredibly sad, we are joyus that Cathy has finally found peace and comfort from this hideous disease. Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement...it means more than you'll ever know. Anyone who is in the Los Angeles area ( or anywhere) Cathy's family would love to meet you and hug you at Cathy's going away "party". Cat Much thanks for letting us in on your "little secret". I speak for the family when I tell you, that this site has given us all great comfort and hope this past week. How blessed you are to have such a "pool" of friends that love you so much. I cried and laughed out loud all week reading your stuff and all the responses. Mostly though I was reminded by all that is written how very special you are!!!! Well sis, were on our way up to see you with little man...Much love, hugs and hope...

What a wonderful, loving and supportive site. Each and everyone of you who contribute regulary to this forum have experienced a small snapshot of what my sister CathyR is made of. Not only is she beautiful, intelligent and funny; she is a woman of tremendous strength, dignity and grace. My sister has always and will continue to the end, to walk the road with integredity and a sense of humor. In life, if we are truly lucky we meet someone who enhances our life, if we are truly blessed we meet someone who shapes it. I am one of the blessed, who have been shaped and inspired by all that Cathy is and will continue to be. I am a better friend, mother, daughter and sister because of her. I sit in awe of my big sister; her bravery is unparalleled. While I am incredibly sad and afraid, I know that this disease which has taken so much from Cathy's life, can never and will never extinguish the light that shines so brightly from within. As always sis, continue to fight the good fight and know you are loved and cherished.....
