Hello, My dad had his PET Scan today. His lungs, spine, etc looked very good. The only concern is an adrenal gland over his kidney has grown significantly since his last scan. His oncol is researching and consulting with others on whether to remove gland w/kidney or radiation. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you and I pray everyone has a healthy Happy 4th. My Dad started on Tarceva today. They gave him nausea medicine also in case he needed it. Wondering how people felt while taking it. He has been paying out of pocket for Iresa as the VA would not approve it because it has been getting a bad wrap lately. The VA will pay for his Tarceva and his oncol thinks this is better now for him anyway. We can only hope. Thanks in advance, hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Lisa

hi Jen, Coming from a family the suffers from Crohns Disease, I really think you should get a colonostomy. From what I am told, there are things that cannot be seen with a CT Scan etc.. only a colonostomy. You really are presenting with alot of the symptoms of something in the IBD family. After everything you have been through, I am sure you are not looking forward to yet another test, but if you could get rid of your flank pain??? And a colonostomy would most likely be a walk in the park for you. Please tell your sister that I miss hearing from her. How is she doing? hi Katie, I am not sure if the youth wristbands have always been available and I just didn't realize it or if they are new. But my 8 year old daughter wanted to wear one for her grandfather and all the ones that I have would just slide off her wrist. So, I was just going on to inquire about getting childrens sizes and ... there they are I ordered some right away and more t-shirts. They are great t-shirts - My Katie (daughter) will most likely never takes her off! It's hard enough understanding this battle at my age, I can't imagine what is going through her mind. I try to keep her talking as she just thinks her grampy is the best! She has good taste - take care.

Joanie, Do you have room for one more? Have a great time. Where are you headed in NY? Upstate was my neck of the woods for 35 years and it will always be home for me. I still have family in Albany and Saratoga so I get there as often as possible (Especially during track season) Enjoy yourself.

hi everyone, Quick question - Does a PET Scan show bone involvement? My dad is experiencing a great deal of pain recently in his spine. His last PET was good, due to be rescanned again in July, but I am worried that it might be in his bone. Hopefully, it is still fluid in his lung from the radiation, but he says it is different pain now. He does have a call into the doctor, after alot of pressure from his girls.
