    Hi Justin,
I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to wait for biomarker testing results before starting treatment.  If you have an actionable biomarker, that could mean a completely different treatment plan.  Did they say when they expect the biomarker testing results to be back?

I got my scans guys and it’s very good news! So the treatment is definitely working, no new growth and there has been Shrinkage of the main nodule. As well, it seems that my bones have been healing as well. It’s over all very good news and I knew I was due for it. Hopefully everyone that got their scans also received good news as well.

    Hello All...
I thought I'd visit this really quiet support forum. I don't see questions coming from new Durva people or anyone telling us how their infusions are going and if they are having any side effects or questions.  How is your blood work, fatigue? Are you having your TSH checked? Mine went up to 139 with no one testing, normal is .3 to 5 mU/L.  Get your Pd-L1 checked too.
I want to share my good news with my fellow travelers. Today is my 5 year canceranniversary. After all the tests I was diagnosed with Stage 3a lung cancer. The oncologist's prognosis was 6-18 months. I didn't know if I could go into remission and  added a Naturopath oncologist to my team. She helped me to use the correct supplements with chemo. I got the standard taxol-carboplatin and 30 days of radiation to 4 targets at the same time. I also used a lot of pure oil, 1 gram of CBD in the morning, 1 gram half THC and half CBD at dinner and a gram of THC at bedtime. I went into total remission for two years and then had a recurrence putting me at Stage 3c. I did a repeat, same chemo-radiation and oil. I went into remission again and  lucky me after that I got to take Durva. I have been in remission for 3 years now.
I want people to know there is hope and Durva does work for many.
    Stay safe.

    HI All

Had the surgery and the 1.3cm nodule was stage 1 Squamous cell  cancer which they removed in addition to the upper right lobe and several lymph nodes. Pathology was good- it had not metastasized- I won't need chemo/radiation. I will have CT scans every 6 mos for the next two years. The surgery was performed by VATS/Robotics. Surgery was Friday out of the hospital by Sunday. It took about 3 weeks to heal enough to return to work.

Thank you all for the support. I’ve been in a very dark place these last days. I’ve reached out to a therapist for me to see about all the issues in my life. The cancer and all the stress that comes with it and this breakup that has hit me really hard. I’ll check in when I can, hope everyone is doing good.

US Armed Forces Veterans, welcome here!
I'm a veteran of 21 years on active duty in the US Army, a lung cancer survivor, and a Lung Cancer Support Community (LCSC) Forum Moderator. I'm proud to declare our support community is now open to veterans and those that support veterans in treatment.  I'll be your host but our entire LUNGevity community and Foundation is also on board. Together our expertise in all things lung cancer is wide and deep.
How does this work? Most start by reading information on various forums, and you are most welcome to read in. If you want to contribute or ask questions, you'll need to register for our community. It is a simple process and details are here. Once registered, you'll be able to post on forums. You can choose any forum for your first post.  Most choose Introduce Yourself . You can make your first post in that section or here in the Veterans Forum. We'll find you.
I suggest you tell us details about your diagnosis and about your treatment plan. Revealing this information allows us to muster responses from folks who have your type and stage of lung cancer. Unfortunately, lung cancer treatment is complicated and treatment and side effects vary with the type and stage of diagnosed lung cancer. This is also the place for questions about treatment in the VA Healthcare System. We'll help with that difficult process and have tips and tricks to available to assist.
Most importantly, this forum's fundamental purpose is to demonstrate that you are not alone in this battle.  We are still in the fight! Once again, welcome to LCSC!
    Stay the course.
    Tom
