  1. Our body needs a small amount of cholesterol to function properly. But we can get a lot of saturated fat and cholesterol from food. Both increase the amount of LDL (bad) cholesterol. LDL cholesterol can cause plaque build-up in arteries, leading to heart disease. HDL (good) cholesterol helps cleanse bad cholesterol from your blood. We need to lower LDL cholesterol and increase HDL cholesterol. Here you need to start by adjusting the diet. Okay?
  2. Good idea not to google too much! I did at first and scared myself silly. I had a pretty large tumor as well. About 5- 6cm. Mine had spread to nearby lymphnodes. I was initially staged at 3B. I also could not do surgery due to the lymphnode activity.
  3. First off, happy birthday! Please do something special for yourself--even if it's going out to dinner and a movie by yourself. Trust me, it can be a fun getaway with no one to please but yourself. Second, I've dealt with partners with serious illnesses who have been as uncooperative as your husband. I spent most of two hospitalizations with one guy, apologizing to the medical professionals because he treated THEM like crap. (He's history now--alive but not with me.) It's a tough spot to be in--I really feel for you.
