Leslie, I've been in wigs now since April. I can't tell you how many times strangers in the street have stopped to tell me they love my hair and where do I either have it colored or cut!!! Even people I know that don't know I'm sick have told me my hair looks great. Go with synthetic. Cheaper and easier to keep up. The handmade top will look much more natural because you see through the part to your head and it really looks real. There are probably some wig stores where you live where you can try on different styles and colors.

Hi CR, I've been on Zometa since I started treatment in May of this year. The very first time I had some flu like symptoms. After that everything was fine. In fact, now that my chemo is over and I'm just on Avastin, they still keep giving me the Zometa. Wishing you the best with your treatments.

This is one topic that I think anyone with LC goes crazy over. I know I do. Yes, I was a smoker. But, people tend to forget that smoking is LEGAL, and extremely ADDICTING. We get treated like we were doing crack or heroin!! I say Outlaw Smoking so our children won't have the chance to become addicted and die. I remember as a youngster (11 or 12) watching the corner candystore owner selling single cigarettes to other children. What a guy!!

So sorry for this news. You gotta keep on fighting though. My prayers are with you both.

I had that 2x while going through my chemo. It only took a week to get them back up. By the way, I'm expecting my first grandchild in April. Congrats.
