  1. First successful biopsy since diagnosis Stage IV NSCLC in 2020. Caris testing came back with EGFR Exon 12 mutation. Doctor said he couldn't find alot of information on this specific mutation but of course will keep researching, Instructed me to stay on Tagrisso for now as I've had no new growth outside of this one tumor in my spinal column. Is anyone here familiar with this mutation and if so what treatment plans have you been recommended?
  2. I had a wedge resection last July. Havent had any issues. I wont lie the healing process was no walk in the park. i moved from the bed to the couch and back for at least 2 weeks and thaty was about it but about 2 months out I was feeling like I had made it. Ive had a craniotomy and a laminectomy since and the spinal surgery was definitely the worst. Every procedure or treatment Ive said I wont do again but everytime they throw something new at me I try it. I have a 9 year old Id like to see go to college
  3. I've had Gamma Knife 5 times on 27 different brain mets since 2020 when I was diagnosed with Stage iv NSCLC. I found it much more tolerable than when I had SBRT where I had ulcers all the way down my throat and was tired for days on end, which Im about to do 5 more rounds of for a tumor inside my spinal column sigh. The Gamma Knife frame being put on my head was the worst part but the pain/pressure only lasts a few minutes. It only took one treatment per lession for me I hope you have the same success with the procedure.
  4. *****Five Stars: Captivating, Adreniline Inducing (or maybe thats a side effect ofXyZ). Filled with Hope, Heartache and some much needed positive insight into an unsightly world of dismal diagnoses. The everyday life of stuffing pharmaceutical companies pockets while emptying ours at an ever increasing speed while still managing to laugh all the way to our negative bank statements despite everything. HA! Hi, New here. Sorry about your news but I enjoyed your writing and you seem to still be pretty positive which is a relief for me. Diagnosed 7/31 so Im...should I say somewhere in 2009ish? I hope to run across more of your articles. It really lifted my spirits on my way to my very 1st chemo treatment. Side effects? yay....ugh
