I completely understand, Nick.
I miss saying "Mom" & I miss saying the words...
I love you, Mom.
There are days that are just so hard remembering what we don't have anymore. Sometimes life just seems so unfair.

I beleive (in my heart) that I will see my Mom, Dad and all those that have already passed before me again.
I think they will be with me when my time comes to pass on to whatever lies ahead. When I close my eyes and think of heaven I see a comforting, beautiful, peaceful, happy place.
Since losing my Mom I fear death less than before. I know that when I do go she is going to be there holding my hand and guiding me in. I agree with Don on the ohhhhh, I get it now. This is another very interesting topic.
I look forward to everyones replies....

LOL...inappropriate happiness huh?

What a very interesting topic. And I have enjoyed reading what each of you has had to say.
I've heard it said here often........we begin to learn how to live with our new normal. I think that I am settling into that new place. I miss Mom every minute of every day but she wouldn't want any of us to get stuck in the grieving process and not be able to move on. I also don't think people choose to be in that place. It is just so easy to do when you've been hurt so deeply. I think that by talking about it you begin to heal. I'm so glad you brought this up Don and I'm not surprised that you have such a great outlook on what you and your family has been through. Your attitude is contagious!! Hugs to you

Minday,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom.
It is a very rough road to see our Moms go through this.
Be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time right now.
PS I am very close to you, in Crystal Lake. If you need anything please let me know.
Warm Hugs,

I called a local hospice and the woman I spoke with is mailing me a copy. I was trying to find it to give to a woman I work with. I remember it really helped my family when my Mom entered hospice.
Thanks for offering your copy Mindy and Ann.
-
Yes, yes, that is it!!!
Thank you.

There was a book that hospice gave us and I can't remember the name of it. I want to say it was called "Gone Too Soon" but I googled it and I can't seem to find it.
It is small pamphlet type of book and is very informative regarding the dying process. It was blue book and had only about 20 pages. Does this book sound familiar to anyone. If so, any suggestions on where I can get a copy of it??
Oh, one more thing. Has anyone read the book Crossing the Creek?

I'd want to cure cancer, bring all the troops home where they belong and pass out money trees for everyones backyard.
I'm REALLY liking the short work week idea. Hmmm...wonder if I could get away with a 2 day work week.
Oh yea and FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION for everyone!!!
