  1. Fingers crossed for you too.
  2. So sorry that your Mom lost her battle with this beast of a disease. There is no way of knowing how long this was brewing so seeking treatment a little sooner probably would not have had a different outcome. Do not beat yourself up over this. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
  3. So sorry to hear this BroFTW. I have been following your posts on your brother as my journey has been so similar to his. I wish him comfort and peace on these final days, and strength to you and your family. Thoughts and prayers. Pam
  4. Hello Therese and welcome to lungevity. So sorry to hear that Larry has SCLC but it sounds like he is responding quite well to his treatment. I also have SCLC and am holding stable at the present time. Wishing him continued good outcome with his treatment.
  5. I agree with edivebuddy about a CT or MRI of her brain and Lou brings up good points.
  6. Wishing you an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery Tom.

      Thank you!

  7. Hello Pam. I was diagnosed with limited stage SCLC in Nov 2021. I had 4 rounds of chemo and 30 radiation treatments. I was not offered immunotherapy. I have since been reclassified as extensive stage as it was detected in my right adrenal gland (which I had radiation treatment which stabilized it) and also a few lesions to my brain which I had gamma knife radiosurgery. I have CT scans of my chest/abdomen/pelvis and MRI of my brain every 3 months. As long as your Dr is going to keep a close eye on you I don’t think you have anything to worry about. If something should pop up they will address it. Stay strong and I will keep you in my prayers.
  8. That’s great news Ken…cause for celebration!
  9. Fingers crossed for good results!

Thinking of you Izzy on this first anniversary of Justin’s passing. I hope that your family situation has gotten better and that time is helping you to adjust to this world without his physical presence.

Hi Pam , no time doesn’t seem to be helping, life is really sad without him, I cry most days, family still won’t talk to us and he would be celebrating becoming a grandad for the third time very shortly but we will unfortunately never see our great grandchild and niece or nephew, , your thoughts are very much appreciated and I pray one day we will feel better, but I can’t see it happening any time soon , I  hope you are doing ok and can’t believe you remembered the date, take care and lots of love Izzy xxx 💔

I’m so sorry to hear this Izzy. My heart goes out to you. I can only pray that things will get better and easier. Much love…Pam

  11. Welcome to the site Dee. Glad to hear your scans are good. I was diagnosed with small cell in Nov 2021. I have since been up and down with my scans but all is stable at the moment. Keep us updated. Pam
  12. Hi Angelina. I also am a SCLC patient and did basically the same treatment as you except the preventive brain radiation. I did not develop neuropathy so really have no advice. My mother had it in her hands and feet and was on lyrica which helped a little. I too have insomnia and have had a sleep study which showed mild sleep apnea. I am going to get a cpap machine and will see if that helps. I will pray for good results with your pet scan. Sorry I’m not much help. You have come to the right place thou. There are awesome people on this forum and I’m sure someone will be able to give you advice. Keep us informed. Pam

    So quiet

I was thinking the same thing Tom. Hope everyone is doing good. Enjoy your holidays.
  14. Glad to hear that the lesion is shrinking and hope it will more with the next MRI. I had gamma knife last week for a 5mm lesion on my right temporal lobe, also another small one detected with MRI the morning of my procedure. I will have follow up MRI in two months.
