Sounds like you are doing as well as anybody could expect at a time like this. Certainly dont rush to clean out her things...it is so soon..of course you cant do it. I still cant bear to give away my Moms clothes after 3 months. Keep going one day at a time and one day it will be a little better.

Being a primary caregiver is a tough job but it is the most important job...The doctor who diagnosed my Mom told me to be prepared for a roller coaster ride and he was definitely right. So, get your support system ready and try to keep yourself in good health. Hoping for good results on his next scan.

All anyone can do is their best and that is what you are doing. Your stepson sounds like a real idiot and he obviously has no idea what a difficult job you have. Just try to enjoy the time with Ed .
