  1. The result of my pet is that the ground glass opacity in my right lung is resolving. But my dr says it may be an artifact of the pet slice. There's also a 4mm nodule, which I believe has been there all along. So basically good news but no resolution of intrapulmonary metastasis vs multiple primaries. I'm continuing with keytruda every 6 weeks.
  2. Actually, 2 tumors in same lobe are 2b IF they are not separate primaries. But determining that is extremely difficult. That's the problem. My tumors were 1.1 cm and 1.4 cm. If separate would be stage 1a2. At this point I'll wait to see the result of my pet scan next week.
  3. 😑l know kras 12c and 12d are different. And that's my dilemma. I had 2 malignant nodules in the same lobe. I had surgery at Moffitt and am being treated now at Florida Cancer Specialists. Each sent out for molecular analysis. One came back kras 12d, tp53 and pten, pdl 1 10%. The other was kras 12c, pdl1 5%, no tp53 or pten. I don't know if they analyzed 2 different nodules. They b9th said I was stage 2b, intrapulmonary metastasis. But there was no paired analysis, so I might be stage 1a. And if the nodule in my right lung grows or lights up, then it's either still 1a or stage 4. At that point I would contact Mayo clinic since they have a multifocal lung cancer specialty group.
  4. My name is Ileen. In 2019, an incidental ct showed multiple ground glass nodules. They were followed for 4 years, first every 3 months, then 6 then annually. In November 2023, several had grown. A pet-ct showed minor on 2 of them and a bronchoscopy confirmed one was adenocarcinoma. In February 2024, I had an upper left lobectomy and a lower left wedge. The pathology showed both upper nodules were malignant, but the lower one was aah. While two molecular analysis was done (by 2 different companies), it was not done on the paired tumors. I was staged as 2b with intrapulmonary metastasis. I'm not convinced because the results from the 2 different analysis were different. One showed kras 12d, tp53, pten and 10% pdl1. The other was kras 12c, 5 % pdl1. Treatment after surgery was chemo (carboplatin and pemetrexed) with no side effects. My ct showed nodules in right lung were stabe. I started Keytruda late July, one year every 6 weeks. I have a pet-ct scheduled October 2 and am starting to be very nervous about the status my right lung. My biggest concern is my multifocal lung cancer and whether it's intrapulmonary metastasis or multiple primaries. So that's (more than) enough about me.
