  1. Hi Sandra: My onc prescribed CLINDAMYCIN PHOSPHATE GEL USP,1% for my rash on my face. It sounds to me that your husband's rash is more sever than mine was. I just want to mention that you should let your onc know right away if the rash is really really bad. I know mine wanted me to let him know. I hope this helps. Good luck to you and your husband. This is a difficult road we all travel.

    Round 2

Hi Wendy: I too am in my second battle with the same mets that you have. I was operated on in June of '04 and was fine until my cat scan in Decmeber of '05. I was on Tarceva starting January 12th but it did not work for me. I had my first line of Alimta this Tuesday and with the help of God, hopefully, it will work. I will pray for you. I always say a pray for everyone on these boards.
  3. Trish, I don't post often but check these boards regularly for knowledge. Everyone on this board is so courageous and generous with their advice. I don't read great news like this often and I just had to say bravo. I am so happy for you and your family.
  4. Hi Midge: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I am extremely fatigued to the point where I can only do a few things at a time then I need to lay down. I was assuming this was due to the Tarceva but now I am not sure if the spread of the lung cancer to my adrenal glands might also be a contributing factor. I will have to wait until Tuesday to see my onc. I tried to get them to push my appointment up to today but, of course, they had no openings. Thank you.
  5. Good Morning everybody: Found out yesterday my cancer has spread to my adrenal glands. I don't see the onc till Tuesday the 28th to see what the next step is. I am curious as to how many have had this experience on this board and how was it treated. I did not ask too many questions to his nurse when she called to tell me as I was driving in my car on the cell phone. I am so scared right now. Thank you for any input.
  6. Christopher: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Janet

    Tarceve

Hi Nelson: I've been on Tarceva for only two weeks and I have not experienced any increase heart rate. I am watching myself very closely with this drug. For some reason I have concerns about it. As always, you should notify your Doctor when you see a change in anything. Janet
  8. Thank you both for replying so quickly. I just started taking Tarceva this past Thursday. Time will tell. The reason I was a little concerned is I am a previous smoker and I was told that Tarceva works best on non-smokers. We shall see what happens. Have a great day! Janet

    Tarceva

Hi Everybody: I am new to this forum. I was just lucky enough to find it. I am looking for anyone who has taken Tarceva for a while and wondering how they are doing on it. I recently started taking it but I have heard stories about it that do cause me concern. I have nsclc Stage IV....I had my upper right lobe removed back in June of 2004 followed by chemotherapy. The cancer has now come back (December 2005)to my middle lobe, lower spine and pelvic area. My onc recommended radiation for my lower spine to shrink the tumor(pain level was very high). I am two-tirds through with that and the results have been great. The tumor has been reduced and pain is almost gone. My concern is Tarceva......any opinions. Thank you. Janet[/b]
