  1. Dad died very suddenly from his cerebellum brain mets on the 21st of May. It was incredibly sudden. I has just seen him the previous weekend (he lived in the UK) and although I knew he had little time, the family was hoping for a few more weeks. At least my brother was with him and helped him be a s comfortable as possible in his last 2 days. To be honest it hasn't hit home. I haven't cried though I adored my Dad who was a really good man, with a stong faith who kept a very positive stance throughout his illness. My siblings have to take care of Mum who is also in shock at the moment which is taking up all of our efforts. Is this normal? I feel so hollow. DeDe
  2. Hi. I'm DeDe. I have been lurking for a while. What a terrific site. My 77 y/o Dad was diagnosed with extensive SCLC in July 05. After 6 rounds of EP and a partial response, the tumour began to grow again in December '06. He has been on CAV since January '06 (x6) with his last dose today and has tolerated the CAV pretty well. He really is an amazing man, helping look after my frail mother and his 82 y/o sister who just had a series of strokes and his attitude to life is just great. However, he started coughing up blood again on Saturday. He remains quite upbeat but I am so worried about him. I love him so much DeDe
