Bev bought me a telescope for Christmas, as she knew I’ve loved astronomy since I was a kid. We all were out in the yard to watch. The highlight for us was when I focused the telescope on the bright, yellow “star” right next to the Moon. I got such a thrill to hear Bev and my daughters gasp as they peered into the viewfinder and beheld the rings of Saturn. It was the first time I had seen them, too. To see that familiar shape we all know through pictures was so cool.

Mary-
Some of the real fighters will be talking to you soon, but I just wanted to welcome you. I was struck by your focus. I'm sure it will benefit you both. Good Luck and Love Snappy!

Will,
I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you will always be surrounded by Diana's love.

If Kindness were a part of the criteria,Darling Diana would live forever.
I know what you mean.
I'm saddened that you have to go through this.

I am very sorry for your loss, Ghita.

Gotta be a glitch.
In April you'll be back on track.

I wouldn’t be surprised if your husband’s current troubles are the result of the treatments, rather than a cancer recurrence. Chemo, radiation,PCI and a lobectomy in half a year is a lot to handle. This was the worst period for my wife, but eventually she got her energy back. She’s still dealing with effects 3 years out of treatment, but is very glad she was able to use all those treatments. Hey, if the docs say the tests look good, you have good reason to keep hopeful. I hope things will turn around for you two soon.

Hi!-
Check out my wife Bev's story "Born to be Alive" in the My Story section. Her diagnosis and treatment sound very similar to your husband's.
Best Wishes,
Kim

Got me again, Nyka!
Here's one for today.
What do you do when you learn
Theres no tomorrow
Hold hands
Sing songs
Live life
'Til you're gone
But not forgotten
What do you do when you're sad
And heavy laden
You reach deep
And beyond
Give love
'Til you're gone
But not forgotten
Those who went before
Why are they remembered
They held our hands
and sang us songs
lived their lives
til they were gone
but not forgotten

Don't let the sun catch you crying.
The night's the time for all your tears.

Can't think of any words for this one.
Sorry you're going through this.
I hope today is a better day for you two.

Close your eyes and I'll close mine
Good night sleep tight
Now the sun turns out his light
Good night sleep tight
Dream sweet dreams for me
Dream sweet dreams for you
(Good night, good night everybody
everybody everywhere, goodnight)

Mom's experience with 2nd line treatment (amrubicin)
in SCLC GROUP
Posted
Hi, Laura-
Thank you for the info on amrubicin. It sounds promising. And a Thank You to your Mom for her bravery in helping us all by furthering research which we all need so desperately. I also share your frustration over the trial rules. I would be furious! Hopefully, the new trial will deliver even better results. I hope your Mom continues to fight and prevail.
Best Wishes,
