  1. Alisa, what is it that you are taking exactly? I want to make sure she is on the best program possible. My mom is on many supplements: flaxseed oil and organic cottage w/live cultures everyday, RM-10, organic multivitamin with several herbs, essiac tea, green tea, and some other stuff I can't remember right now. I understand your lack of belief but we just watched my father die a painful and quick death and he followed all the recommendations of the MD. In retrospect, I saw a healthy man (visually) capable of anything w/ no limitations, deteriorate before my eyes from the onset of treatment-chemo. Within 3 'painful and hard to absorb the reality' months, he finally was put out of his misery Jun. 2, 2005. (Thanks to the drugs from hospice). I know in my heart that had he done nothing, he would have lived for quite awhile longer, maybe a couple years. So, even if you are right and my mom will die anyway, her attitude is "I want to enjoy my life and have a quality to it." We are forging forward and you will see in time what the result is. I am hoping favorable. We did research a lot of info. on not doing traditional tx. Probably more than the average person because of our unique circumstances. There is info. on exactly why it is so difficult to find research-based CAM tx on those web sites. I t is all related to $ .

  3. We are also reading the kevin Troudea's new book about healing. There is really no cost involved except for vitamins and minerals that Bill Henderson does not sell himself. There is nothing in it for him. You can't trust quackwatch because it is run by a retired psychiatrist who has pushback from the pharmaceutical companies that generate his income. He doesn't recommend any natural cure because there isn't any $ in it. I know it is hard to believe but I think my mom or anyone with cancer should not do the big business recommendations. It is all about money. My sister-in-law is now suffering from all the damage from chemo and radiation and has to see a wound specialist and infectious disease specialist because her gaping wounds are not healing since the last surgery.
  4. Yes, all my mom is doing is the recommendations from Bill Henderson www.beating-cancer-gently.com. So far she has not had any symptoms besides a cold with a slight cough. From Dec.-Mar. 2006, the repeated catscan showed an increase in nodules. My understanding is that she was in the less advanced stages in terms of size of nodules but they were multiple. Anyway, consult from Sloan gave her 6 mo. if she did nothing. That would be early Sept. We are hoping and praying that God and this vitamin/mineral protocol work.
  5. Congrats!!! That is an excellent story. Yes, who is the doctor you used in NYC? Are you still taking supplements; what is your regimen? I am also a single mom of twin boys-age 20 months. How old are yours? Lot of work, huh?
  6. Anyone from LI looking for buddy?
  7. It is much appreciated all your supportive responses. My mom and I have grown closer to church and God through all of this and whatever is God's will, we will need him and depend on him very much. We have gone to Christ the Spiritual Life Center in upstate NY and have had a cathartic and renewing experience. We have also attended some healing masses and they are very helpful.
  8. Thank you everyone for your supportive words of encouragement. My mom is definitively selecting alternative medicine and we have researched a lot in the way of avoiding chemo. She feels good about her decision and so far has not had any symptoms of LC besides an occasional cough. Much of the info. found was at www.cancertutor.com and that led us to www.beating-cancer-gently.com. I keep everyone informed on her progress...
  9. check out alternative treatments forum. I just posted info on that one
  10. Has anyone heard of and researched www.cancertutor.com There is a wealth of information and my mom, who has lung cancer, has opted to begin with the Bill Henderson Protocol at www.beating-cancer-gently.com What are your thoughts on the lengthy but comprehensive and educational information provided? It is very encouraging. Another interesting site for statistics is www.naturalcancertreatments.com
  11. thank u so much for all your info. and yes, I would greatly appreciate any addl. info./moss report.
  12. Do u know anyone who has attended this clinic in the Bahamas or the success rate? Seriously considering it.
  13. My mom has been diagnosed with lung cancer and she doesn't want treatment. We just lost my dad 6/05 to lung cancer. He had no symptoms except breathing difficulty after heavy labor. After the biopsy, however, breathing got bad, chemo. helped him die more quickly (3 months total). Hospice involved --terrible memories. Now, my mom is healthy, no symptoms except recurrent bronchitis. She is not willing to even do biopsy. She has multiple nodules in both lungs as revealed by a x-ray, CT and PET/CT scan. So worried but I kind of see her point. Doesn't want to be sick, just die quickly. Her 66 yrs, dad was 69, me 38, single with 2 children, 18 month twins. I am so sick over this.
