    2 months yesterday

Eternal rest be granted unto him, and may his perpetual light shine upon him always. I hope this finds you stronger every minute!
  8. Urgh!!! You must be so frustrated. What is SF? Your brother is thinking of not helping? I know I am new here, but I don't get it! I will say prayers for you!
  9. You have a ton of support here. Get all the information you can, and lean on whomever you can to get through this. Life most certainly takes a turn when you get this kind of news, but know you have so many people on your side, and in your court. God bless. Jen

    Sad Today

Laura, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Eternal rest be granted unto him oh Lord, and may Your perpetual light shine upon him always. Laura, I know what it is like to be a mom and feel you need to "keep it together" all the time. I also believe though, that you need to care for yourself so that your children get your best care, and you can't care for others unless you are whole. Your son most certainly senses your stress, even if he doesn't know about it. This site is excellent. Find a friend, see a counselor, and don't be at all afraid to take care of yourself through this. I don't know if you are the praying type, but if you are that helps too. If you want to PM me just to cry, please do so...I am always here (my husband says I am addicted to this site!). That way you can unload on someone you don't even know!! Bless you and keep you and take care of you!
  11. I just wanted to leave a post for others to know that Don is a wonderful support system. He PMd me and I called him to discuss my dad's cancer. He gave me many great ideas, a supportive ear, and new information that I didn't know. It is important for others to know that Don is there as a resource, and a great one at that. He is a living miracle, just like what we pray for every day at our house. Thanks Don! I will also put a note in my bio that I talked to you...so others will know, long after this post is gone!
  12. I am so sorry about your husband. He sounds so courageous - as do you. One of the greatest things that has happened from the horrible event of cancer is to meet such amazing people on this board...you and your husband are an inspiration to many...please know that. Eternal rest be granted unto him oh Lord and may your perpetual light shine upon him always.
  13. Trish, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are a strong woman, and your mom sounds like an amazing woman herself. Eternal rest be granted unto her oh Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon her always.
  14. So sorry to hear about your loss. Be sure to continue your prayers and know that others are doing the same. Eternal rest be granted unto him oh Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon him always.
  15. I am not sure...this seems to be where my dad is too. As a care giver it is so hard. I had many posts with others thinking possibly depression, and realization...I will pray for you, and if you have any ideas, please let the rest of us know...God bless.
  16. Cindy, I haven't been through this, but wanted to give you support. Good luck to you and keep praying - as I will!
  17. Don, I always look so forward to what you have written for others, and I hope that I can do so the same for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Lucie as you go through this bumpy journey called life. May God watch you and keep you, and please, Don, know you are such a model of love for so many out there. Stay strong! God Bless, Jen
  18. I love my egg slicer...it lets my 3 year old son cut strawberries, eggs, olives, or mushrooms...he is now my big helper!

    OOOHHH YEAHHHH!!!

    Excellent news! Great victory!
  20. it's nice to be important, but it more important to be nice...that was my fave! yes, I will pass it on to my munchkins when they get old enough to understand!
  21. Susie, I am so sorry to hear this. I will most certainly pray for you. May you find peace at this difficult time. Keep your faith and know there are many of us out there to support you.
  22. So glad to hear all the good news. My dad has found that as long as he has SOMETHING in his tummy he can keep away the yuck tummy...at least up until this point. He keeps pretzels by his bed at night, and when he wakes to go to the bathroom, or whatever, he grabs a few...he has only had the heaves one time...and only three or four at that....best of luck!
  23. I heard one woman say that she needed to use a mild shampoo, as everything else really irritated her skin. Maybe this might help???
  24. OK...so now my Dad has a head cold, and I feel terrible, like my 6 month old preemie may have given it to him...he is going into his low...do you think we need to be more concerned than normal???? Normal??? What is normal these days?
