I was treated to asthma for about a month before an x-ray revealed fluid around my right lung...the cat scan revealed the mass. The pleural effusion shows cancerous cells, too. the PET scan shows some lymph nodes, but thankfully nothing in any major organs or brain. (having an MRI just to be sure about the brain) Haven't started anything yet, want to get into a clinical trial, they are sufggesting Tarceva. I have a 4 and a 7 year old - I MUST survive!!

mass in right lung, pleural space cancerous, 5 lymph nodes. Looking for 2nd opionion, have been told nothing but chemo can be done at this time. I am a divorced single mother and my kids are 4 and 7...plan to find someone who wants to try to cure me rather than just extend my life.
