    Spring 2008

Thank you, Terri for sharing that story. Bill was very fortunate to have you as you were to have him. I bet he has been trying very hard to to try and tell you what to do in the yard and how to do it. Happy Spring to you, Love, Bobby
  2. I wanted to join in with the encouragement. Things always have a way of working out. Please let us know how you are. Sometimes just talking it out helps too. With love, Bobby
  3. Pup you are probably right about not going back to work. I can't think of a better excuse that a "leaky brain." Glad you are ok..keep us posted. Love, Bobby

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RY. Love, Bobby
  5. Don't lose hope. Some people actually get through this for years. It is not an automatic death sentence. There is a good chance your Mom will live to see her grandchildren. Stay positive and keep up posted. Love, Bobby

Well that just BITES!! I am so sorry Julia. The world has lost a very special guy. I wish there were words to make it better, but we all know there aren't. I hope you have lots of support during this time, and if not, you know you can come here and vent away. Everyone here loves you and understands. Love to you, Bobby

Hi Bill..just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts today. I will pray that you get good news today. Keep us posted. Bobby
  8. I know what you are feeling. The best thing you can do for your Mom now is to make sure she is kept comfortable. I had a long talk with my sister before she passed and her main concern was with her family and how we were going to deal with her death. We all let her know that we would miss her but we would be ok. I think that helped her to go peacefully. I will be praying that your Mom's pain will be controlled and that she will be able to rest easy. Love, Bobby
  9. Hi Dana..it is tough when you have to go through it again. It sounds as if your Mom has a great support team though. The doctors sound pretty good too. It is most certainly a family fight. Take this weekend and go fishing with Mom and then put your fighting clothes on. Praying that her next treatment will do the trick. Love to you and yours, Bobby
  10. I am so sorry for your loss, Hawkeye. I am glad you were there with her and she went in peace and had no pain. I know your conversation with her put her at ease so she could go to be with God. Love to you, Bobby
  11. Just to let you know PuP, I have been thinking about you today. I hope all went well for you. Love, Bobby
  12. I'll join in with you on that!! CANCER SUCKS AND I HATE IT TOO!!!! Hang in there Hawkeye and know that we are all praying for you and Mary. Much Love, Bobby
  13. I am so sorry for my previous post. I didn't realize your Mom had passed..so in that case..I do think the remark was ridiculously uncalled for. I become envious of some on this board that have done better than my sister was able to. Having said that, I am happy for those who are doing well, but I think it is just human nature to wish that my sister could have done as well. I don't know if I am making sense, but at least for now, I have to agree with you that the remark was insensitive.
  14. So sorry you have to go through this Hawkeye. This part is truly the toughest. I know Mary is happy you are there with her. Keep us posted and vent when needed..it helps. Love to you and yours, Bobby
  15. It kinda sounds to me like she was trying to give you hope...as in.."If things are going good for him..it can for your Mom too"?
  16. 'Holy Prostitutes??' >>> >>> A man is driving down a deserted stretch of highway when he >>>notices a sign out of the corner of his eye....It reads: >>> >>> SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS >>> HOUSE OF PROSTITUTION >>> 10 MILES >>> >>> He thinks this is a figment of his imagination and drives on >>>without second thought.... Soon he sees another sign which reads: >>> >>> SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS >>> HOUSE OF PROSTITUTION >>> 5 MILES >>> >>> Suddenly he begins to realize that these signs are for real and >>>drives past a third sign saying: >>> >>> SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS >>> HOUSE OF PROSTITUTION >>> NEXT RIGHT >>> >>> His curiosity gets the best of him and he pulls into the drive. >>>On the far side of the parking lot is a stone building with a small sign >>>next to the door reading: >>> >>> SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS >>> >>> He climbs the steps and rings the bell. The door is answered by a >>>nun in a long black habit who asks, 'What may we do for you my son?' >>> >>> He answers, 'I saw your signs along the highway and was interested >>>in possibly doing business....' 'Very well my son. Please follow me.' He >>>is led through many >>> winding passages and is soon quite disoriented. The nun stops at a >>>closed door and tells the man, 'Please knock on this door.' >>> >>> He does so and another nun in a long habit, holding a tin cup >>>answers the door... This nun instructs, 'Please place $100 in the cup >>>then go through the large wooden door at the end of the hallway.' >>> >>> He puts $100 in the cup, eagerly trots down the hall and slips >>>through the door pulling it shut behind him. >>> >>> The door locks, and he finds himself back in the parking lot >>>facing another sign: >>> >>> GO IN PEACE. YOU HAVE JUST BEEN >>> SCREWED BY THE SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS. >>> SERVES YOU RIGHT, YOU SINNER
  17. Hi Rhonda, I certainly know how you are feeling. The important thing is to make sure your Mom is comfortable and that she knows you or someone will be there with her. We didn't have hospice, Beverly died suddenly, but I understand them to be a good way to go. I think it is important for you to read and find out what the signs will be. That way you will be prepared and can offer your Mom the best care you can give her. With my sister, she started getting weaker, and eventually stopped eating. It was soon after that that she passed. I am thankful that I was able to be there. The simple fact is no one knows how long..it could be days, weeeks or months..just be there with her and listen to what she has to say. It is very important to them to be able to "take care of business" while they are still able to. I hope this didn't sound insensitive..I don't mean to be..but it is as truthful and I can be, and I think you need to hear it. Keep us posted on your Mom and I will be praying for you and your family. Love, Bobby
  18. Have a safe trip and a Happy Birthday!! Bobby
  19. Prayers going up from Baton Rouge.
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JACKIE..
  21. I don't blame you for being offended. That was a very insensitive thing for her to say. It is almost as though she is mad at the person who is still grieving her Mom. Best advice I can give is to let her know that it was offensive and insensitive..or just chalk it up to some people are just ignorant. Love, Bobby
  22. I will certainly pray your friend will be ok..and you too. Bobby
  23. I put garlic and onions in everything. Zatterain's Cajun seasoning has a lot of herbs and spices mixed in and that is probably what I use the most of.
  24. I'm sorry Will. I will be praying for you and Dianna. Love, Bobby
