  1. Tina,

I'm so so very sorry and surprised to hear about Charlie. He seemed to be rebounding. He fought the good fight with you by his side every step of the way.

    Please accept my sincere condolences.

  2. Sounds like your mom is a real survivor and continues to do well. Cabo will give her something to really look forward to too. I'm sure she'll have a great time there.

  3. Hi Michelle--

Bet you'll never forget 4/18/05! What a day that must have been for your family. Glad to hear that you've been successfully treated. Sorry to hear about your FIL though and hope he can rally despite the doctors' predictions. That sometimes does happen.

Keeping your FIL in my prayers.

  4. Debra --

Glad to hear the your news. Stable is good and you'll be able to enjoy your vacation that much more. Interesting that you work for your oncologist too. Hopefully you get your questions answered in a timely fashion!!!

    Enjoy your holiday.

  5. Wow, Jamie. An all expenses paid trip and raising awareness of lung cancer at the same time!!! Way to go-- I am from NY but have been gone many years. When I do go back, I head for my family on L.I. and seldom go into the City. However, the couple of things that do come to me that I don't think have been mentioned are the Museum of Natural History and Central Park.

    You go and enjoy, girl!

  6. I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Doug. I did look forward to his wonderful posts. I am so glad he got to take that Alaska cruise. Uncle Doug will be missed.

My sincere condolences to his family.

  7. Maryanne,

I agree that stable is good (though I have to admit that NED is even better). But it's small and the doctors are keeping close watch on it. That's important! As for Joel not sharing the info. with you, that sounds like love and concern for you. He does sound like a "gem" as do you.

Keeping Joel (and you) in my prayers.

  8. I used to call them "charms". They were little plastic figures from gumball-type machines. For instance, I remember my little yellow plastic dog. Eventually, I had enough of them and made a class and of course, I was the teacher. Today I'm a REAL teacher. In retrospect, my "charms" were a lot better behaved.
