Hi everyone, This is Darrell's gf, Crystal. Just wanted to let you know that Kari had her baby. He was born on January 25, 2006. Kari and baby are doing fine. Devon Lee Barnes Born: 1/25/07 at 8:02A Weight: 5 lbs. 14 oz. Height: 19 1/2 " Also, Darrell's favorite football team (GO COLTS!)WON the Superbowl! We are sure he was up in Heaven cheering them on! We miss him so much but are trying to focus on the positive. I have experienced the loss of this terrible disease before.. my father passed away 4/15/00 of the disease and I still miss him everyday too! Best to everyone, Crystal

Thank you all for responding. As Kari, Darrell's daughter, said in your note, Darrell mentioned this website quite often and I even referred to it to help him do research but I never went to the message board. There are a lot of great people here. My father also lost a battle to lung cancer in 2000. Having going through this battle with my father, it gave me strength to help Darrell through his treatments. I miss both of them so much but now I know Darrell is up in Heaven with my Dad. Love to all. Crystal

Let me introduce myself, I am Crystal, Darrell's girlfriend. I want to thank you all so much for the wonderful words about Darrell. He truly was an inspiration to me and others. He has been so strong through the recent months and always tried to be upbeat. I am truly blessed to have had him in my life over the past 4-5 months. Thank you so much for giving him courage and support over the past year. I am going to miss him more than words can say. Crystal
