My Dad has a rash but apart from that he is ok, - I agree with the suggestion of asking Dr West, he is a fab Doctor and will always help if he can.

My Dad is on Tarceva but hasnt had any fevers - only a rash and a few spots but he tolerates it very well. Dawn

Dad went to Hospital for his monthly check-up today and he had a chest x-ray which showed that his cancer is still stable. I would have liked shrinkage but stable is great news for my Dad, considering 4 months ago he was given 2 months to live without further treatment. We are so delighted - the Tarceva is helping him to have a good quality of life, and I hope it works for a long, long time. It costs £1700 a month and he has to self-fund (it is not available thru our health system in UK )but if it helps my Dad it is worth every penny. Dawn

I agree with everyone here - get more info and a second opinion. Your mum is young and I think she should have the chance to be treated. Saying a prayer for you and your mum, I know how hard it is but you must stay positive (((Hugs))) Dawn x

WOO HOO - GREAT NEWS !!!

Hi My dad age 77 has NSCLC and been thru chemo without losing any hair. His first symptom was a husky voice so lung cancer was the last thing on our minds. We had a massive shock. It is now 9 months since his diagnosis and he is on Tarceva and feels ok. So, don't give up and be positive. (((Hugs)))
