  1. My brother was diagnosed with Sclc Oct. 27th. He received one month of extreme radiation and 4 months of chemo. The radiation has done wonders. Before the radiation he had 6 small tumors on his brain and a mass that took up 90% of his lung. With the radiation the brain tumors are gone and with the mix of the chemo and radiation to the lung - the tumor is now the size of a walnut. I truly believe in radiation, however, my brother is terminal and we were not concerned with side effects, my brother just wanted to prolong his life as long as he could. I am not sure what the side effects are for the lung or why they couldn't do it? We were just told of side effects it could later have on my brohters brain.
  2. My brother was also diagnosed with sclc the end of October. Things have been going really fast. It is stage 4, we have done Chemo, Radiation and are now ready for Hospice. Our Mother died 15 years ago and my Fater 5 years ago. So this has been extreamly hard watching my brother decline daily knowing that we are going to lose him and thier is no hope. I hope your sister is well and her treatments are going well for her. There is nothing like the love of a sibling. I feel for you and will think of you both.
  3. My oldest brother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer Oct. 27th. It had moved to his brain, his spind (paralizing him) his kidney, pancreas and liver. We have been trying our best to help him as he is going through this. We have completed all of the ratdiation and Chemo that can be done and are now ready to call hospice in. He won't eat or drink hardly anything and I feel like I have to treat him like a child to try to convince him to eat and drink. Any suggestions. He is dropping weight so very fast.
