hi loves......yes those are the people I was referring to.....actually I think it was Carole....remember she had a little one on her ankle. The one thing no ones picked on is the dang guy used the wrong color.....survivor is actually white or pearl. Couldn't see well what he was doing the color he picked actually is for someone thats passed. So I'm going to add that one sentance and some white to fill it in.

ya done good Judy...she plays fotbol (soccer here)...basketball..and softball. And I must say she does them all well.

I will be back in more often now....needed a break.....some things hit me real hard and I needed to back out for a bit. Glad to see both Judy and Patti's reply on here. Patti let him get the tattoo I didn't copyright it...lol

Judy you are right ..we do the best we can with what we have to work with, I don't really dwell on it either.

the tattoo is actually something I stole from and in part as a remembrance for 2 of my closest friends Carol and Sandra.For myself as well of course.....it is a gteat conversation starter and is my way of making people aware that cancer is cancer...doesnt matter what kind. I am going to add one more line from one of my favorite songs "its not easy to be me" .....think I've earned a little self pity...lol. Hope it does start a trend.

a very long time since I have been here...all is well so far...just graduated to 1 yr checkups. Had PFT and have lost about 30% of capacity..not good ...not bad. Had 3 surgeries trying to fix damage done to nerves by chemo...so so results. Will try to stop more often...stay at home dad with a 3 sport 11yr old girl takes most of my time. Hope all is well. Don't really get the rational behind that post...but for the sake of world peace I will refrain from further comment.

My personal opinion...and probably not a very popular one....is that it is a crock. Did smoking cause my cancer?...maybe...maybe not. I had other risk factors in my life that may well be the culprit. A insane verdict such as this is just another by product of the crazy litigious society we live in. There had been ample warnings on every pack about the potential for harm from smoking. I chose to ignore them......my fault...no one else's.

Yes I thought you were in this neck of the woods. We will be back in Cocoa next Wed. evening I think...Will be going back to SC on sun the 26th. May have time for a quick lunch

for the next 10 days the family and I are back home in florida...has been to long...hang in cocoa and rockledge for a few days ..then the mouse house ...and back to cocoa for a few days before heading back to south carolina. feels good to see old places. dave

I don't post much these days...many things going on. It's a lot of work being a stay at home dad. Who'd a thunk it ! But I digress.....After the lobectomy...16 wks. of chemo and 2 yrs. of Tarceva, at yesterdays onc visit I was officially discharged as a clinical patient. He said he does not expect any problems and that I should be a long time survivor and will now see me twice a year for observation only. Seems kinda surreal after so long for it to just end like that...not that I'm complaining about the outcome. Obviously there will still be some issue with the COPD but as far as the cancer goes ...all I can say is...WHEW!!!. Hopefully I dodged a bullet there. He said it's still early to use the C word, but thats what he considers me. I will still be hovering around dont worry..cant get rid of me that easy!!

its not so much what your hospital charges...its what your insurance will pay....may find it little cheaper if you looked around.....depends sometimes on your deductible for the year as to wether they pay 80%..or !00%.Thats where you would save some possibly. my guess is that with a few exceptions they are all pretty close in fees for the CT. Just got my bill from radioligist..was $260.00...but will also get one from hosp. cause its their equipment..thats the expensive one. wouldnt hurt to look around some I suppose
