Can anyone let me in on what a a thoracentesis involes? What can we expect as a care giver? Is it painful and what can i do to help grandpa be more confortable. Thanks for all the help. Luv Brandy

Hawkeye, You and Mary did alot together and try to remember all the fun times, think of the comdians you went to see. What was your favorite memories? Like Randy said tell Mary what you have done for the day and talk to her. It will get a bit easier, but not much. I am so sorry you are going through this.

I can remember the first few weeks of treatment and how stressed i was with a 2 yearold, so i can tell you that it will get a little easier and less stressful. Once you get your routine down it will be amazing how much of a superwoman you can be. Good luck and you are in my prayers and thoughts

My grandpa is always cold too and we are always giving him hot tea and coco. It will be 75 drgrees in the house and he has blankets and a robe on. I find that intresting.

Just keep a postive outlook for her and live everyday as it is your last with her. Please get another opioion because someone out there will do something for her. We will all be here for you. (((HUGS)))

My grandma does the same thing for my granpa and when he is having a bad day she always leaves him a sign of her. Bill is watching over you and will keep you by his side until you meet again.

I agree this site has been awesome for me too.. All of yall have been very positive for me. GOt me over humps. Not all the time have I posted but just reading the post pushed me through so many times. I have to say Thank you too. Your mom is with you everyday and know that she was right there with you on diagnosis day. There days that you do want to cry and do it, the other days do something that your mom would like to do. You will make it through. When my grandma passed I thought the world would come to an end and now I bake for her all the time. Her specaility was durning christmas to make everyone there favorite dessert, so i do that now for her. It has been 3 years and I find myself still crying every now and again because i miss her so much. stacy you will make it.
