  1. Doll-Finn is doing The Happy Dance! The radiologist really spooked us out yesterday, but please do take a moment to drop to the bottom of my profile and and lets all do one big happy dance together~ I am greatful to have found this cyber family. Mary oxxo

  2. Bobbi~

Go get 'em!! It does mimic my path, I opted for the LOA from work 6/07 and am returning to work 10/22, scared, but they say once Im back 2-3 days it will be like I never left. Chemo is 6-7 hr. drip, they put ativan up, it is a relaxer but also an excellent anti nausea, I said hook me up! I took emend the day of and 2 days after and supplemented w/ zofran. Hydration was the big ticket w/ my Dr. The cisplatin reaks havoc on the kidneys, so I went back for "2 liters" IV hydration the day after cisplatin. Kidneys are great! Keep us posted~ Mary

  3. Hi All~

I saw my radiaologist after my 1st scan since Tx. I do not think she realized I had the scan this morning, and would be telling me the results. She said all medisteinal lymph nodes had shrunk. The RLL tumor had shrunk. Then..........she went on to giberish about 2 new spots on my RLL, that may have been ther all along, and I would have 2 discuss that w/ onc. tomorrow (Thurs). The 2 spots did not show in 5/07 in 2 CT w/and w/out contrast, or the PET. I got the impression she had "punting rights" to the Onc. and she used them.

Last week when I asked onc. about tarceva he said we blasted you w/ all the chemo one body can take, that was out direction, so no more meds.

Woundering what he will say tomorrow. Profile below is so far up to date, I'm very nervous about tomorrow. Any tips for tomorrows visit are appreciated. Mary

  4. May I have adose of Valley Fever? Max if you get one, take it!! My husband has sleep apnea, I recorded him snoring/ stop breathing one night when, I could not sleep. I then finally fell asleep, and forgot about the recording. I thought of it weeks later when the subject came up,when friends were visiting. I snuck the tape in and pushed play......everyone in the room was alarmed!!!! what is that noise? OMG! Is there a rinaserrrious in the house? , . That is when my husband got tested . Nights are quieter around here now. Keep us posted. Mary

  5. the news sux. Your Mom is lucky to have you. Respect your Mom for the woman she is. Hospice is a word as powerful as the word cancer itself. They are a symptom managment team, their sole purpose is to work for you and your Mom, it's a family approach. They treat the whole situation day to day. When your Mom's symptoms are relieved and she is able to return to Tx, that is your option, you just thank them and they leave~ In the mean time, sending prayers and hugs your way. Mary

  6. Bucky~ Your "history" dictates, the radiologist reading your scans, define every piece of lint and dust. You had some heavy Tx and the scans are showing it. How did you get the results w/out the Dr. explanation? Take a deep breath, were sending prayers and hugs to you, write back soon with the news. Any more questions, were all still here. Mary

  7. Hi~ I hope you can update your profile as it is very close to mine. Neulasta is a pill, I had neupogen shots, but I was feeling so chitty when I got'em I could not compare. They did the trick. It's a jump start for your WBC's. Hope the punkiness went away and you back at the creek. Mary

  8. Deb~ I wish peace and comfort for yourself and your family at this very sad time. When you feel up to it please check back in and let us know you are OK. In the mean time sending prayers and hugs your way. Mary

  9. I would testify, if there were no other key witnesses. We were driving on the interstate and a car ahead of us, skid over 3 lanes hit a HUGE GMC P/U then the guard rail. The driver of the P?U didnt see it comming it was so fast. I am greatful we were there to reasure him , there was nothing he could have done to aviod the accident. The so not guilty driver of the truck was so shaken, he needed to know there was nothing he could have done. Mary

  10. Jussi~

I'm so glad you found us, other sites are for quitters! Fever can be a side effect from your fluid removal, "glue". Dehydraton elevates the body temp. If infact the procedure (Gluing) is an invasive procedure, you will want your body to heal that, prior to chemo "usually".Ive been known to become a little unglued during the past few months, this is a great group of people that help me keep it together. 1st post Tx scan Wens. Mary

  11. Hi All~ I just want to revisit, my concern that my onc. is not putting me on any anti-neo meds, I'm starting to second guess him. I was so warm and fuzzy "putting all my eggs in one basket" now I'm not. I think I'll bounce it off Dr. West. Love you guys, need you guys, Mary
