You don't even want to get me started on this..My boss is horrific..She is just brutal...We were locked in battle over issues for a year, even though I was working an average of 45 hours a week, she didn't think it was enough time. So push came to shove, and I won the battle. She won't even talk to me. She is freaking clueless about how much it takes to do all the stuff we have to do with Jack and Col's appointments etc.. I've tied her hands now, and she can't say anything to me, but she hates me:) Best part of it all...I could care less. I tried being nice, i tried being agreeable, I tried reaching an understanding, then I just tried to p*** her off. At least I succeeded on the last one. I guess the biggest difference between me and normal people, is I could care less about my job. I'm a tax guy...I can always find work...I'm not giving my life to a huge company, who knows me as a number and a salary amount. It's just not me. I would say try to do what you can to work through it with your employer....But whatever you do, do it for YOU. Like I said...Don't get me started:) I wish you all the best.

Alright...Just wanted to let you all know that Col and I can't attend the lunch on the 27th. I never pay attention to dates, so I didn't realize that I had a cousin getting married that day in Harrisburg. Oh well...See you all at the next one I guess.

I'll pencil us in for then...but I reserve the right to cancel at any time should I have to play golf that day. I have three club matches that need to be played in June, so there's at least 3 weekend days...And scheduling will be at the mercy of what's most convinient for myself and my opponent.

Just want to send an FYI out there in cas anyone is interested...I tried to post this yesterday, but the stupid computer wouldn't accept it. Since I know how infatuated with Jack B we are, I thought I would extend this invite. Jack will be playing hockey Saturday only 10 short minutes from our luncheon destination. Typically our lunches run till about 2:30 or 3...Jack's hockey is at 4:15. So we could just hang out for two or three extra drinks and head up to see what it looks like when a four year old plays hockey. If you are intereseted and think you may want to check it out, bring a sweater, as it is an ice rink and will be cold. Ginny d...please let me know if you plan on coming because we will need you to sign a liability waiver seeing as how you have a restraining order against ice and other slippery surfaces since your fall In November. Just thought I would throw that out there. See you all tomorrow.

Hi Barb...I don't have any solid answers for you. Col's rash comes and goes now, as do most of the other side effects from the Tarceva. The rash was difficult to handle for her for a bit, but it did calm down after a bit...Right now her biggest problems is the cracked skin, which is worse because of the cold dry winter air. As for the dosage, I don't know about that, but I beleive that was offered to Col at one point as well, but she didn't feel the side effects were bad enough to do it. Hopefully after a while the side effects will start to settle down for Bill...Until then, hang in there.

Ginny, I suppose it's possible I am the one you left behind...If of course the son you left behind was EXTREMELY handsome, intelligent, witty, and just an all around great guy. Snowflake, I like that career path...Sounds interesting and fun...My brother majored in healthcare management...you know what he does now???? SALES. Whew...I just woke up today after celebrating the Eagles Victory...That leaves me a coupla days to work and a coupla days to drink for the game. I'm hoping they can do it...it's gonna be like two buzz saws coming together. Kurt "The Old Man" Warner better take his ostiocell vitamins, bring about a five gallon tub of ben gay, and hope that he can keep that decrepid old head on his shoulders while the Birds bust in on him on every play. I'm very sorry to read this. Don was a strong man, a good man, and an inspiration to many...He will be missed here, as I'm sure he will be missed everywhere.

Yep there sure are...Col's cancer was discovered accidentally after a brain met caused more problems than we can list...She is Stage IV. Had surgery to remove the brain met, did chemo, WBR, and lung radiation and is now on Tarceva....Over 2 years...In fact, Saturday will be 2 years two months since DX...I believe that's well qualified as long term survivor...ANd you'll find more here who have been longer. Hang in there...there are many many people who respond well to treatment.
