  2. Well Becky, to save time, maybe I will dogsled south, meet up with sandra, and we will catch the Keg Bus at the border. I am a little concerned how you know from experience that you cannot bring firearms across the border ???? LOL Muriel you will just have to wait and see if I wer=ar more or less. LOL
  3. OK Becky I don't mind visiting Judy in Key west but I draw the line at wearing a bikini!!!!!
  4. That's more like it Becky !!!! I really like the rack on the roof. Anyone misbehaving, you know where you're sitting. They will be picking bugs out of their teeth until July. I can see a few of our good time gang up there already. Nice that you already have the snow tires on.

    My Mom

So sorry for your loss Tina. My condolences to you and your family.
  6. As long as he lets the passengers into the Keg. Richard may not be happy if he can't have a glass!
  7. I think our last driver got sent to the back of the bus for missing too many turn off's. Great replacement Katie!!!
  8. Judy even reading your story about the Keg bus made me chuckle. Alot of people would check to see if there was anything new posted. We had a great laugh on chat over it as well. I recall getting back from a holiday at the farm to find there were over 90 replies to my farm pass. Summer is almost here and I think it's time to get the Keg bus rolling again. I'm sure there are new members here now that would enjoy a few laughs as well.
  9. Thank you Linda for informing everyone of this sad news. I met Corinne a year or so ago when she first began her journey with this terrible disease. She had just gotten back from a cruise. Corinne gave a great fight and we will miss her. My condolences go out to her family and friends.
  10. Will be thinking about you Deb. Take care friend.

    It's been a year

Great news Judy. And you know I'll be the first one at the pub on May 5th waiting to celebrate with you. I'll have you vodka jello waiting. LOL
  12. Congratulations Patti!!!! That is a great milestone to reach and I am sure you will reach many more. You are a great inspiration for so many people on here and has always been a great friend to me.
  13. I did not have that combination but had Cisplatin/Vinerolbine. I had my upper left lobe removed in Sept. 2007 also stage 1. I pushed to have adjuvant chemo even though it was not recommended for stage 1. i was concerned about stray cells as well. I had 4 rounds and didn't lose my hair just some thinning. So far all my test have been clear.
  14. Well how about this one!!! I went to the store yesterday and bought a lawn tractor ( riding mower ). It was -27 out and we still have 3 feet of snow on the ground. Just a little anxious for summer to arrive. LOL
  15. Patti........Way ta go girl ! Congratulations. You kept this scan pretty quiet though. What better way to celebrate than going to cheer Nick on in a swim competition.
  16. Hi Kristi So sorry you have a reason to be here. This is a great site and you will receive a great amount of support and information here. I think your Dad's reaction to this news is understandable. It is devastating to hear that news as any members here are well aware of. Most people find that as all the tests are done and a treatment plan is in place, it will get easier. Then you go into fighting mode. Hearing that " C " word automatically bring bad thoughts. If you read through some of the forums here, you will see that there are survivor's of all stages. Do not believe statistics !!!! Everyone one is different. If you have any questions there is a good chance someone here has an answer. we are here to help you anyway we can so please keep posting as you get more information. Take care.
  17. Thanks for the update. Hopefully the Doctor's will get things sorted out quickly.
  18. Great to hear that your Mom is out of the hospital.
  19. Prayers for Tamara and her Dad from up north.
  20. Well it has been a busy day here. Mowed the lawn this afternoon. Transplanted a couple birch tree's. Watered the flowers. Weeded the potato garden. Geez you think I lived in B.C. LOL
  21. Congratulations Becky !!!!!! That is great news and there will be many more annual dates with your Oncologist. 6 years !!! That is the kind of good news, especially for new members, that gives everyone hope and brightens the day.
  22. Hi Rhonda You will find lots of support on this site. Members are very knowledgeable and can certainly help with questions you may have. I was diagnosed as stage 1B and had my upper left lobe removed. normally they do not recommend adjuvant chemo for that stage. I asked for a second opinion and did not get a decision. So I pushed for it and I had 4 rounds of chemo. My reasoning was to throw whatever ever I could at it now to reduce the risk of it reoccurring.
  23. So sorry to read this Marci. My sincere condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.
  24. I think that was my Grand Pappy !!!!!
