    Hi everyone!

Congratulations on your graduation, Rochelle. It must have been a tough year. Glad to hear from you again. I've been wondering how things were going for you, your Mom, and brothers. Has your Mom had a CT scan since completing chemo? That might be a good place to start. For what it's worth, 3 mo. after chemo I didn't feel much better than one day after the last treatment. It takes a while. Muriel
  2. Of course this is scary. But, IF ANY of those nodules are malignant, they aren't going to change so much between now and when you see the pulmonologist. Seeing a pulmonologist is a good idea. You'll probably find that he/she wants another CT scan in 3 - 6 months to see what, if anything, is happening. There is a thread in the General section about nodules. Lots of people have had lots of different experiences with them. For now, don't let yourself worry. At this point there isn't anything to do about it. Best wishes. Let us know what the pulmonologist has to say. Muriel
  3. Buy it Debi. When the exterminator has done his/her work, let me know. I'll be there excaping the hurricanes. BTW, Tell me you don't have sharks, alligators, or water bugs.Thanks. Muriel
  4. I live in Orlando! Muriel
  5. Ann, are you comfortable with tornados? They don't have basements in OK. Muriel
  6. When I was on carbo and taxol, my Onc. gave me a prescription for pain pills for the bone aches. It helped a lot. Don't remember what it was I took. Muriel
  7. Yes, I have a flea story. When my husband finished graduate school we moved - with our 2 and 8/9ths children to San Diego. We rented a house that seemed fine, but within a week we all (except for 8/9ths) were itching and scratching. My solution probably wouldn't be considered environmentally acceptable now, but I sprayed the whole, nearly empty house with bug spray. Then vacuumed. What a gross experience. Muriel

    Andrea

    Andrea, I'm so sorry. Muriel
  9. You (and the Hatchlings) have my prayers! Muriel
  10. Cheese ravioli, veal scalopini. But I rarely order the veal. If the price is low, then I've found that the meat is tough. If it's in a reasonable to high range then I figure it's probably good, but I start on a guilt trip re: supporting an industry that is so cruel to the animals. Muriel

  12. Congratulations! Prayers and best wishes for Mom and baby. Muriel
  13. I've had surgery followed by chemo twice (June-Nov 2003 and Nov - June 2004). Both times during chemo I had the brain of a flea. It got better after a while. By the time I had the 2nd surgery (18 mo. after the 1st), my attention span, etc. were almost normal. I finished chemo the 2nd time last June and my mind is pretty much ok again. I'm 67, so I attribute very minor memory problems to age. Now, as for being tired and often not wanting to do much, that's another story. I'm almost 3 years older than I was when this not-so-fun journey began. I have trouble getting to sleep at night and staying awake during the day. My best hours are about 8pm to 2 am. Really not in step with the rest of the world. I'm not depressed - I take something for that and it works wonderfully. I'm just tired all the time. I don't have the interest or energy to some of the things I enjoyed in my old life. I had the same problems with my friends - "Just do something" they said. Anything. One of those friends was diagnosed with colon cancer in July 2004. Following surgery and chemo, she apologized for not understanding how chemo made me feel. Anyway, these problems probably won't last forever for you. You could talk to your doctor about it. Muriel
  14. Glad to hear from you again. I had been wondering how you were doing and worrying a bit. Don't stay away so long next time. Muriel
  15. When my mother (born in 1907) was in her 60's she told me that she didn't feel old and that it was a great shock to her to look in a mirror and see the white hair, etc. I was amazed. She certainly looked and acted old to me! Now I'm older than she was when she said that and I'm having the same experience. I feel about 35. My mind may have slowed down a bit, so mentally I'm 45. On a good day I feel as tho I'm in my 60s and, believe me, on a bad day I'm at least 85.
