Hi everyone, Well my pet scan came out pretty good the cancer seems to be in one spot on my right lung. Their is some in my lymphnodes the doc seems to think chemo and radiation gives me a 10-40% chance at a cure. There was one place on my hip that showed alittle fuzzy I have to have ct scan for that. The Doc thinks it's nothing. So I stat chemo on wednesday and if the ct scan comes up clear they will add in the radiation. So boy do I need a few prayers that the ct scan comes up clear and the cancer is just in my lung. So that about it for now. Bill[/b]

Well I had my first pet test this morning that was a new experience. It got alittle tight about the last 5-10 minutes,Iwas ready to get out of there.See the chemo Doc tomorrow my stomach is alittle knotted up waiting for the results from all the test. But at least I'll know what i'am facing. I think it is going to be a long night. Bill

Had a MRI this morning bright and early at 7:00 AM. I can't hardly wait for the results. Having a pet scan tomorrow and meet with the Doc on friday. Hope to have a plan for monday. Iwant these results and I don't want them.I just seem to go back and forth in my mind.Waiting is driving me alittle crazy. Is the cancer growing as I sit here waiting. Well a couple of deep breaths helps that and I'am a pretty positive person. I hope I can stay that way. My prayers to every one and please pray for me. Bill

Hi Guys, I met my new chemo Dr. today and think it is going to be a good fit .He said that he needed a to do a pet scan and a mri of my brain,which will happen next week.Then see the doc on friday and he will know the stage.It all seems like alot wasted time.I'am sure everyone here has been through this drill before me. So I'll quit whinning about it,so everyone take care of themselves.Thanks for being here. Bill

Today is the day I meet my oncology Dr. for the first time.Now I can't believe how scared I am. I've been waiting a month to find ou how bad the cancer is aand if it has spread,and to where.Now I just want to put my head in the sand even though I know I can't do that.Thanks you guys for giving me place to vent.This is a great web site and every one has been so kind to me. I put Febuary 3rd as the subject line because that is the day I found out I had a mass on my right lung.So since then after then seeing the pulmonary Dr.and having a brochoscopy that is still all Iknow.I have a mass on my right lung.That why I'am so mad at the way this Dr. treated me.But I'am ready to put the gloves on.It is just not knowing what I have to fight.But I'll know friday God willing. I found out I had lung cancer because Ihad bacterial pneumonia.They did a x-ray and then a ct scan which then showed a mass on my right lung.Then the nitemare started.Iwas refferd to a pulmonary lung specialists that was just awful.He did a bronchoscopy during which I remained awake for more then I would like to remeber.The nurse that took me back to my room would just shake his head at the amount of discomfortI was in.Then 2 days later I get a call from this Dr. and all he says is you have lung cancer go seea oncology Dr. my nurse will call you back.I was shocked at how this Dr. just kind of brushed me off.I was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them.I see the oncology Dr. this friday I'am hoping to get more infomation then I have right now.
